I seen a thread on the general forum it was Povetkin vs a bear so I thought I’d make a thread of him vs a different kind of Baer, who wins this matchup?
Again what benefit PEDs have given to Povetkins career success we will never truly know. However based upon the Povetkin we have seen i think Povetkins punching power that at least matches Baers, combined with his excellent boxing skillset means for me Baer is going to lose inside the distance.
Max slugs it out and ko's Povetkin,,I'm amazed how much Povetkin's stature has grown by ko'ing an overrated contender like Whyte who was kicking his azz.
I have no hesitation in picking Povetkin here. His technique is miles better and he can actually box. Max is going to have his chin tested and I don't think he's going to like it. Baer relying on brute strength is going to have a bad time against the Russian Knight.
This fights outcome completely depends on which Baer shows up. I'm saying a focused Baer wins by late stoppage possibly or Pts
Povetkin was literally at the end of his career by that point. Not sure how this can be viewed as anything but a positive for him.
Povetkin's technical level is way above Baer. I've goto go for the better boxer with the better defense. Not sure whether I'd go with KO or points. I fancy a KO given how open Baer looks to punches Povetkin is extremely underrated by the average fan because most fans didn't enjoy that era of boxing because it lacked drama. There's a good reason Wlad cheated to beat him though.
