Does this go any different to their actual fight? Povetkin gave him plenty of issues at 39, wobbled him and broke his nose, and I actually had Povetkin up when he got stopped, could he, in his prime, win this? I feel his prime was probably the Takam or Charr fight, but whenever you think it was Who wins this matchup?
Povetkin was pretty faded when they actually met but still gave him a little trouble. I might pic Povetkin to win in his prime
I think Povetkin does the job. His stats would be improved all round, and that extra little bit of speed and power and chin would make all the difference. The fact is that a version that had been slowing down for years gave AJ a scare, points to a prime version doing much better.
Povetkin was still hopped up on PED residuals when he fought Joshua. Prime Povetkin was going life and death with Marco Huck and 12 rounds tit-for-tat against Eddie Chambers. Joshua of the Usyk fights is a hard fight for Povetkin . 60/40 AJ
