I would favor prime Ali over all heavyweights that I've seen. That's not to say I would be shocked if someone like Frazier or Louis would actually win, just that I consider Ali the favorite. Same thing here. My number one heavyweight (Ali) VS my number three heavyweight (Holmes). Holmes could win, I favor Ali.

Prime Ali, but Prime Holmes could give him a hell of a fight. Maybe like a 6/10 fights go to Ali. Basically on the same page as Boxed Ears.

  3. i think holmes would win a ud here but due to the face that ali is so popular and is consider the goat at heavyweight but holmes also doesnt get the credit he deserves i think he has the skills to outbox ali and he would also out jab him which would cause ali problems because nobody every did

Ali undramatically easy. Holmes best shot is his jab, but Ali had a better jab. Holmes wouldn't touch him. Against 66 Ali, there's no version of Holmes that would even be competitive. Sorry to burst your bubble.

*U guys realize that we probably never saw prime Ali... his three years out of boxing was his prime time... the Ali that fought Sonny Liston would murder Holmes... period, not even debatable.

Why in the world would you think prime Ali wasn't the man we saw in his original reign but by means of zero proof, he was "probably" in his prime only for the span of time he wasn't fighting? Please, do explain this to me. I'm having massive trouble understanding this line of thinking.

Because he was getting better and better right up until his suspension, which came about right at the inception of what are usually a fighter's prime years when he has his man strength but his youthful legs and endurance.

That's been difficult for you to understand? I think 99% of the population would get that without it ever having to be explained.

i think Ali would make a mockery out of him PRIME vs PRIME...

    I do agree with PackPowerPellet

I feel Larry Holmes is 1 of the Most underrated Heavyweights ever,he never fully got the recognition and priase he deserves

But PRIME Ali is just in another leaque....

Well -- I would pick 1966 Ali to beat any fighter who ever walked the earth, but a Holmes upset would not be all that shocking.

You can be as facetious as you like, as long as you pay attention and learn. That way you won't say that stupid **** next time and I won't have to condescend to you anymore :)
