    Who would win and why?

My friend said a prime Lewis would beat a prime Ali which I thought was plain stupid. He knows about boxing just as much as me which is zilch. He plays fight night a lot and that's how he came up with his theory . Help me out with an argument. I know Ali was fast both on his feet and with his hands, has reach, heart, stamina etc. but I couldn't come up with solid argument because again, my education on boxing is suck.

Or maybe it is possible a prime Lewis can beat a prime Ali? Let me know what yall think.

Ali dances circles around his ass, jabbing, uppercutting, and staying on the move. Every time Lewis would connect solid, Ali would move or hold (which Ali was the absolute master of). Ali then knocks on his chin late (10-15) and puts him down Lewis/McCall and Khan/Prescott street.

How many times does this need to be said?

Leave Ali out of Lewis thread. Lewis is no where near as deserving of ATG status as Ali.

There is a good possibilty of Ali getting a decision, but i favour Lewis by late stoppage or points. Just as intelligent a fighter has Ali, and with equal composure and fight ending power i pick Lewis.
No doubt Ali is The Greatest. Just not h2h with Lewis.

Don't forget my friend that Foreman as been knockdown several times as well and Lewis had the power and the speed to get him as much as he wanted.

Well we here to discuss but I just think no one in history of heavyweight was unbeatable. There's a weakness for all

And I'm just saying that the speed of Ali would be the worst thing for Lewis as much that the speed of Lewis would be the same fo Foreman.

And if Tyson would like to brawl with Foreman, well, he would be erased from earth.

For me it would equal a damn good fight!

Obviously Ali would be favored, as he would be against pretty much every heavyweight in history. I think he would UD Lewis, pretty much by how Nonito Smoak described but without the knockout, but I don't think it would be a cakewalk. Lewis had a great combination of intelligence, skill and being physically imposing.

Foreman fell down from punching himself out against Ali and young ( IMO he just quit and that is worse), the only guy to really knock him down was Lyle.

Glass jaw lewis was demolished by Hasim Rahman and Oliver McCall.

So why you laughing? You just repeat what I said, he went down several times. You can be mad about Lewis jaw all day, at the end, he still have a tremendous right hook that can kill anyone in the ring.

Lewis footwork would be his defense against Foreman. Lewis had a great ring management, last time I check Lewis didn't lose his all his fights against punchers, isn't?
