Prime Ali vs Prime Tyson?

He has won decisions and has some TKOs after 6 rounds

In his prime he could go a full 12 rounds without a problem ... but it is true that he wasn't as ferocious as he was in the early rounds

 

Ali is too mentally and physically tough for Tyson to break down or KO over 12-15 rounds.

 

both were great. I would have to think Ali would edge it and win a decision.

 

I agree...Tyson can't go 15 rounds with Ali , Tyson may have more power than ALI but speed kills, prime ALI has more speed footwork and athleticism

I think Ali could still lose the first fight but beats Tyson every time after. I give an advantage to Ali, but prime Tyson was a force of nature.

The biggest myth in boxing is that a Prime Mike Tyson wpuld beat anyone.

 

Tyson was quicker then Frazier and way faster hands.

 

Ali was the ultimate troll, Mike was a mental midget. After 6 rounds Mike would get fed up with Ali's antics and do something illegal to get himself disqualified.

 

1985-1988 Tyson is mentally strong..Tyson wins SD 1st fight with maybe scores a KD..Ali wins rematch and rubber match UD...

 

Tyson prolly takes it believe it or not.

People have this mental image of Ali that looks like a highlight reel. But when you actually sit down and watch his fights. The whole fights, mind you. It's not that hard for great boxers to hit him pretty consistently through the fight.

Tyson wouldn't fold. The thread is about prime ali vs prime tyson. The tyson that bit the ear wasn't prime. The douglas version of Tyson was prime tho. Tyson remained dangerous through that whole fight. He almost Ko'd douglas at the end of it, even after taking a severe beating. He did not try to get himself dq'd or give up.
