How many times has Wlad been decked? Also Ali fought Liston x2,Frazier x3, Norton x3, Foreman,Shavers and Lyle and in those fights was only decked once and he got straight up. Some of the most murderous hitters in heavyweight history, and you talk about his chin? How dare you when you overate a fighter who is absolutely terrified of being hit because he knows he has no chin?
You know I feel the other way. These are the kind of threads that make me hate the classic nutheads. "Wlad wouldn't even get a titleshot in the 70s" I mean seriously this is so ridiculous. Hyperboles on both sides are just stupid but the thing is they exist on both sides. There are idiotic Klitschko fanboys and there are idiotic Ali/Foreman/Frazier nutheads who believe their heroes are unbeatable superhumans.
In all honesty, Wlad's very lucky to be in this era. In other era's, he wouldn't dominate like this, and he wouldn't be regarded as highly as he is.
Ali KO'd a young Foreman because Foreman was stupid. I dont see the 32 year old Ali that knocked out the 25 year old Foreman beating the 45 year old Foreman. I think the 45 year old Foreman would stay back use his reach advantage and cruise to an easy decision. I also see the same with Wlad. He is too smart to fall into Ali's games.
so a lot of nostalgic stupid americans. the reality: Prime ali would lose to prime versions of: Holmes tyson holyfield lewis Both K Bros and big george with a normal gameplan so **** off
Actually I'm basing my opinion more on Norton-Ali than Foreman-Ali. Norton gave Ali a hell of a time 3 times because his length negated a lot of what Ali did stylistically. I dont put Norton anywehre near Wlad in terms of boxing ability but his natural gifts frustrated Ali greatly.
You can do a topic "Ali vs God and Chuck Norris" with one hand tied behind his back, and fans will say Ali will DESTROTY them,it seems he was invincible... The Klit's are a different element than Frazier,Foreman and the likes of Chuck Wepner who knocked him down with a body shot..
Prime Cassius Clay ( cleveland williams vintage) would hit Vlad at will... And he`d probably stop him as well. THAT version of Ali was supremely confident, and would blister Vlad with so many combos, he wouldn`t know where they were coming from.Clay would land more shots than Vlad would even throw. As for being mentally strong, Vlad is not anywhere in the class of Clay/Ali, who`s mental toughness was immense. Plus, Clay would get into Vlads head before the fight. Please don`t anyone dare tell me that Vlad`s jab has anyhwere near the speed of Clay !! Who had the handspeed of a fast middleweight... Does anyone here really think that Brewster or Sanders could even dent Ali`s chin much less stop him ???
