Did he murder Levi Billups? Or skinniest HW of all time Zeljko Mavrovic whose best win was Julius Francis? Lewis was great, great fighter but he gets ridiculously overrated on this forum. As good as he was he was far from unbeatable

I say Lewis wins. Too razor-sharp accurate and powerful for AJ. Will walk him down, I think.

Lewis is simply better overall, but the fight may be tougher for him than some believe. Lewis would respect Joshua and would be prepared to the gills.

Joshua is better and has the better chin. Absolutely he can take more hits than Lewis can from him.
AJ by KO, that's a hard thing for people to admit.

AJ. Modern fighters are different breeds to old fighters. Lewis was huge back his day but now he would be a normal sized heavy weight.

Lewis by KO, he beats Tyson Fury as well. I’ve not seen anything for the current crop to suggest they can beat Lewis unless they catch him with a freak shot.

Can’t agree with anyone voting AJ on this one.

    Lewis best wins include :
-37 yo Holyfield who ran it close in the second fight (
    -fat David Tua
-Bruno by illegal knockout (literally held his hand in his face blinding him)
    -arguably lost to Mercer

Not saying AJ would beat Lewis, but he’s certainly got a much better chance than many think here

    Forgot:
    Prime Vitali Klitschko.
    Ruddock in 2 rounds.
    Shannon Briggs in 5.
    Andrew Golota in 1.
    Tony Tucker.
    Tommy Morrison.

    Also:
37 year old Holyfield > 41 year old Wlad
    David Tua > Andy Ruiz
    Mercer > Andy Ruiz

Lewis’s resume is significantly better than AJ’s and he beat everyone in his era bar Bowe who avoided him like the plague. Given the Rahman and McCall stoppages you have to give AJ a chance in this one as he would be one of the best guys Lewis would have faced. Still I think people diminish his achievements, most of AJ’s best wins came against guys in their late thirties and his signature win was against a 41 year old. I don’t see him surviving the Lion.

If current AJ beats Fury, then I'd say AJ has about a 30% chance of winning.

But Lewis' Jab is far superior and his right hands are more accurate.

    Both have questionable gas tanks.

I'd go for Lewis mid/late round stoppage 5/10

    Lewis points 2/10

    Joshua KO 3/10

Joshua's only an inch taller than Lewis and they weigh basically the same, between 240-250lbs, Lewis also has a 2 inch reach advantage. They are basically the same size.

Also size meant nothing when Usyk beat Joshua twice.

Joshua maybe the better trained athlete with more modern training methods, but Lewis had the better gas tank and his superior skills and versatility would more than bridge any gap athleticism that may exist. Lewis' ring IQ too was far superior to AJ's.
