Tua would be a horrible fight for Joshua, a small, powerful explosive guy with a cast-iron jaw, he'd lose to him like he lost to Ruiz.

Deontay Wilder vs Anthony Joshua around 2018 would have been one hell of a fight. Sucks that we didn’t get to see some of these matches

This is one of those cases where I'm surprised to see the community largely agree with me. I expected Tua and Byrd to get more support and everyone to pick him to beat Tucker and Wilder.

No option for beats them all?

Prime Joshua was a monster. Put any of them in front of him at Wembley stadium the night he fought Klitschko, and he gets them out of there.

He has potential to win all of these fights, but knowing AJ, he would lose some of them. I think Byrd is the safest option as he has no punching power.

    Let's examine:

Wilder: admitted to Fury, he took less to fight Fury than he was offered for AJ. Avoided all the top 10. Has no skills other than a lights out right hand. AJ should win but Wilder can win due to his super power

Byrd: not enough power or size to keep AJ off him. He got dominated by both Klits, had questionable decisions against Oquendo and Golotta. Got to fancy AJ

Tua: everyone outboxed Tua because he was a midget and sometimes he came from behind and KO'd them. So it's either or in this match up. If AJ is properly prepared he should be able to score a points decision, if he's foolish, he loses.

Tucker - this is boxer that's very hard to judge historically. Huge padded record. Steps up and fights Douglas and comes from behind in a fight he was losing. That's probably a much better win than he's given credit for. Loses to Tyson while going the distance. SD wins over Norris and McCall. Gets hammered by Lennox while going the distance. Then loses to Seldon, Akinwande and rematch against Norris.

That tends to sound like Tucker wasn't good enough to hold his own and beat AJ.

He beats Tucker and Byrd via decision.

He gets knocked out by Tua and Wilder.

His carefully curated career was a success from a financial perspective, but he was never the man of his generation.
