So hard, lets just say that their prime weights against each other could be a fair match-up, maybe it could actually , as Pryor fought at 135 for a while but apparently moved up only because of bein' dodged.

The argument could be made that both play right into each other's hands, you could use the argument 'Duran's gunna FIGHT PRYOR?? , that means he's right there for an attacking machine with one of the highest workrates of all-time, and a puncher'.

One could also argue - ' Pryor's gunna FIGHT WITH ROBERTO DURAN, and AT THAT WEIGHT???, that means you lose'

This really comes down to who you see as the more prolific imo. Duran is legendary at making guys miss, absolutely top-notch at doin' this up-close, but even he would have difficulty prevailing in that area against such a swarmer as Pryor.

What i do know, is that in their primes, this trully one of the greatest fights ever, im picking Duran for some reason, maybe for the wrong reasons, but people on here will know what i think of him from previous discussions, and in his prime i thought he used the style that was as near to perfection in this sport than there has ever been, not that he was the perfect fighter to use the style, but he actually comes close there imo aswell. Could go either way, but Duran wins this on points imo, and i think a knockdown, just a flash one, might swing it his way..

I actually used to think Pryor, but upon review I don't know what the hell I was thinking. His style plays into Duran's hands pretty well. Duran by UD or possibly late stoppage over 15, body shots being the key ingredient when Pryor comes swarming in.

I agree with Pea's analysis. Pryor swarms all over you but he wasnt really a great inside fighter he operated more at mid range. Duran would have an easy time tearing him up with body shots on the inside and mid range while at the same time using slipping and dodging many of Pryor's own shots.

It would have been a very interesting fight hard chioice. If I had to pick it would be Duran. Just because of his birthday, June, I believe Pryor was a Scorpio, dumb.

Pressure is not the way to beat Duran. Especially when you throw your punches wider than he does. Duran throws shorter punches, and would land the cleaner punches throughout the fight. I would take him over Henry Armstrong for these same reasons.

    Duran by decision.

Pryor was a great fighter with a lot of skills but Duran was just too good at 135-140, it would be a fast paced war with a lot of fireworks but Duran would win by a stop between 11-15

Duran is a whole league or 2 above Pryor. Aaron could not have lived with a prime Duran. All of his best attributes would be turned against him. Duran would be in punching range, making Pryor miss and firing back. Both men would set a terrific pace but Duran would be connecting a lot more often.

Eventually Pryor would need to find a different solution. he'd back off and start the jabbing and moving option. Then Duran would move in, counter him and finish it there and then.

This would eb firewroks for about 6 rounds and then it would be as one sided as Duran-Moore

It's hard for me to pick anybody over Duran at LW. Would be a hell of a match though. Duran's defense I believe would make the difference in this one, as he pulls out a close decision.
