Gatti's prime was NOT at 140, And no he gets beat by all the top dogs at 140, he might beat Zab that's it.

I think he beats Garcia and Peterson, but loses to Lucas and Judah.

Gatti vs. Rios would be a Fight of the Decade candidate.

Which fighters did Gatti beat would you say were better than Garcia and Peterson when Gatti beat them?

None. But Gatti has "It". Garcia and Peterson don't have "that thing"

The only top fighter I would favor him against is Alvarado.

Couldn't favor him against Alvarado either, it would be a war but I think Alvarado would bomb him out.

I think Gatti is being sold a little short here. Not saying he cleans house but he'd be within the top 10. He's got the heart to be a threat to any of the pressure fighters at 140, and had enough power and aggression that someone like Khan or Garcia would be legitimately tested, at the very least.

Though he clearly wasn't the same physical force. But he did box a bit better at 140.

Gatti had one of the greatest hearts ever, but he wasn't that good. He was clearly an ATG from an entertainment aspect, but talent wise, he was mediocre. 140 wasn't even his best weight. He wouldn't beat any of the top 10 guys at 140.

Maybe I am overhyping Gatti. But in his heart "I trust"... However, I don't think he takes Judah's speed very well. Think about how a mega past prime Judah survived and "beat" Lucas... Lucas hits much harder than Gatti, so I honestly think Judah beats Gatti with his speed/punching power. Gatti doesn't see super Judah's punches coming. I think that Judah is underrated on this forum.

Garcia on the otherhand is a different story, hes a hooker, and doesn't throw a single punch down the pike. I think thats Gatti's game, and I think Gatti could crush Garcia with his own hook every bit as probable as Garcia could to Gatti. Its most likely a toss up. I can see how people think Garcia would ice Gatti. So far Garcia just keeps winning so maybe I'll look back and say I'm wrong about this match up.

If Garcia is champion, Gatti will be champ. Speed give gatti trouble. And danny is slow as hell. Gatti has a better left hook too.
