"In pretty much every fight he won"... you say. David Price might have displayed great chin and skills in every fight he won. Pity about those pesky ones he lost. So, just to recap. In evaluating how Bowe and Baer would do you are only looking at Baer's wins while erasing Bowe's signature wins for the purpose of the argument. Good tactics. By the way, if you need to display "a great chin in pretty much every fight you win", I would suggest that you aren't actually all that great. Where's my gun? There's a small barrel full of slow moving fish with my name on it.
**** even in the fights he lost he displayed he could brawl. Obviously in his losses to Nova and Louis his chin failed him so me saying "In every fight he fought" would have been a false statement. What signature wins am I erasing of Bowe's? His signature wins are over Holyfield. Your lying. It is your fault you haven't made any argument for Bowe based upon his wins. I'm not going to argue for you. When your argument gets to the point where you start marking down fighters for having a great chin then there is something wrong with it. Your post was just a bunch of assumptions. Nothing of substance was contributed to the argument.
So Baer had a great chin apart from "his losses when his chin failed him". Can't you see what you're saying? In other words, he had a great chin apart from when he got knocked out. I'm not making it up or twisting your words. You just said that. I'm not marking down a fighter for having a good chin. I'm suggesting that if you have to show that you have a great chin even in "pretty much every fight you win" (your words, not mine), there's a major problem. Anyway, if you don't get it by now, I doubt you ever will. Your username, containing two racial slurs in one word, as well as your first reply to me, shows what kind of person you are. Well done you.
You're trying to use word play and twist things around in an attempt to discredit. It's both humorous and annoying. Go watch Baer's fights. Don't take my word for it. You're wasting all this time bitching about Baer's chin being too good when you should be watching the fights yourself. Nobody is saying that Baer had good defense. Frankly he doesn't need it to beat Bowe. His chin is sturdy enough to outslug Bowe. Baer would brawl with Bowe as he did in literally every fight. I'm serious, go on youtube and pull up a few Baer fights, he brawls in every one of them. Oh ok, now you're going to resort to talking **** about my username in an attempt to make me look like a racist. I guess you're living in the 1900s because today in 2017, nobody calls Italians: Dagos or Wops anymore. It's a harmless username but we can pretend, just to entertain you, that I'm a big racist monster. If you don't like me calling you out like the cuck you are then don't go referring to your dick as a schlong (****ing weird) and bet it whenever you talk about boxing. You acted like a cuck so I treated you like one.
You cannot beat this board for pure comedy value. A motivated Eddie Futch trained Bowe would literally **** those two crude beyond crude bar room brawlers Baer and "Mob fix my fights" Carnera. Those two have never ever met a genuine skilled/mean Superheavy in Bowe.....ever.....a guy even when totally washed up was never Ko'ed..........and has ONE razor thin loss on his record against a ATG. His skill level , punching technique/arsenal, conditioning, survival skills, chin and ring general ship are top notch. As far as he never met punchers.....Hide and Gonzales had a extremely high KO ratios, granted against some so so competition but nevertheless they could crack plus Gonzales had a stellar Amateur career. He also beat Holyfield from pillare to post and is the only man to KO Holyfield flat when Holy had some gas left, Toney could only get a corner stoppage , Bowe ko'ed his azz cold. That is the same Holy who ko'ed Tyson and had iron chinned Mercer on the deck. Holyfield is a way under rated puncher. Bowes downfall was lack of discipline and over eating to compensate for his shiddy up bringing but as a fighter in the Ring he gave it all. Baer shid the bed against the ONLY genuine skilled sharp puncher he ever met in Louis and he would literally get diarrhea facing Bowe.
The thing a lot of people writing Baer off are forgetting or don't know is Baer had pretty good boxing ability and was able to switch gears and be successful with it when the time arises. Definitely not 1 dimensional. Note the Carnera fight as evidence.
Post of the year no2 candidate. Worth a thread if you have will and time... Would be fun to see these two compared
Let me guess Mike Tyson throws non stop punches every rd, Muhammad Ali is the greatest and unbeatable, Rocky Marciano had the greatest chin of all time and whatever other boxing stereotypes exist.
