Disagree with thread title strongly. Barrera was great, no doubt. Hell of a resume put together leading into the Pacquiao fight.
Yep, how about you try to keep up. You're saying Mayweather is undefeated because of his level of opposition. But twice you changed your criteria for opposition. First it was "Mayweather never beat an ATG in their prime", then you used Oscar De La Hoya as an example but you must have realized quickly that De La Hoya lost all his fights with ATG's. Then its "Mayweather never fought an ATG in their prime", then it's about p4p rankings. Look guy, my point, you know the post that you selected a portion of to quote, was to question the logic behind thinking a boxer(any ranked boxer) can go their entire career and take absolutely no risk. I also question the logic behind thinking that any fighter an undefeated fighter didn't face is a fighter he would have definitely lost to. I don't support it when it's said about Calzaghe, or Marciano either. Even if Mayweather didn't always fight the best opposition, surely if he wasn't at the very least a very good fighter, he would have been "exposed" by now and taken an L, like Broner, Berto, Mares, and even Tyson were. Heck, Lewis lost to McCall and Rahman...not ATG's. The example boxers above lost to non atg fighters, and were highly touted. If Mayweather wasn't at least an elite very good fighter, he would have dropped an L by now to a lesser fighter. Not necessarily an ATG. Surely Mayweather doesn't have a crystal ball.
right i never changed my criteria. every person oscar lost to was an ATG. you tried to devolve our conversation into a discussion about mayweather's greatness because you are a ***** and a child. i'm not going to bite no my point was always about mayweather being undefeated because he never fought an ATG in their prime despite having the chance (pacquiao/martinez). I didn't say any boxer, i said floyd mayweather and this is where you fail. i selected a portion of your post to hopefully prevent you from rambling on like you are doing now. it's real simple, i made a point that you couldn't refute, so then you wanted to start talking about mayweather's greatness instead of admitting the truth.
How can Mayweather fight an ATG? You don't become an ATG until you leave boxing. You labeling Pac and Martinez as ATG is crazy because I quote, you are "a [*******] and a child."
Which by your own admission would make Mayweather great. *****... I am very critical of Mayweather. Dumb ****. You are an idiot, you changed your point several times. Is ATG the same as p4p.
You didn't make a point, you stated your opinion. I mentioned Floyd's greatness in the first post that you quoted. You are the one that devolved the convo into ***** and *******. Rambling... In any case, you are an idiot, that much is clear
sure, bottom of the top 50 ATG. he could be much higher. and no you are a huge fcking ***** if i ever saw one. name me a former p4p #1 fighter who isn't an ATG? what kind of ******ed question is this willy
You all do not get it! Box master is lil Floyd's biggest fan, he makes these crazy threads to show how great mayweather really is. Everyone knows that Floyd is considered the GOAT at 130 and it only proves how great he was when most do not even think that it would be close. Personally I think it would be a classic but MAB would be overwhelmed in the end. The real question are we talking MAB at his peak or on the backend of his career that PAC faced?
