Benn struggled with boxers. Benn loved a shootout, you need an elite level chin to stand up to those punches. Collins and Eubank had that.
Also you need to remember that Collins, Benn and Eubank held the WBO title at middleweight. Froch is a Super-middleweight only.

I think Benn would have the definite edge in speed but if there was a stoppage i think it would be Benn getting stopped it's a tough call

No, Benn was a lot more cute at 168. Benn's chin would be a concern, but I think he edges a tense, close battle rather than a war, to win a close decision.

    Benn WM/S12 (7-5)

Benn got hurt by Galvano , Piper as an absolute novice gave him a hard time and lost due to exhaustion. Henry Wharton took everything Nigel threw. Nigel is a legend and any boxing fan has to be a fan of Benns, but I can't see him beating Carl. I think Carl would keep it long, and catch Nigel and hurt him enough to stop the charges. Plenty of lesser fighters took Benn the course, far lesser fighters hurt him, lesser punchers stopped him. I'd pick Carl late or points, he's more consistent and reliable.

I'd lay money on it being an epic battle between two warriors.

Saying Benn would beat Froch is 'knocking him'?

Benn and Eubank would both have beaten him
