Who wins this fight of the wizards of defense and offense?
    The true epitome of boxer/puncher.

Similar dimensions, similar power, use of angles.

Truly a great fight to forecast

Leonard was ahead of his time and had athletic talent that would have seen succeed him in any era.
However I think he was bit of an anomaly in a time where the technical level was still a ways off.

I don't think Loma is comfortable in those eras though. If he thought Salido pushed the rules and fought old school, I think some of those actual old school fighters would give him a rude shock.

Benny Leonard had it all. He could fight and punch extremely hard as well as being one of the smartest ring generals of all time. He's noted for his speed, amazing footwork/movement and ring craft. Ray Arcel said he was the smartest fighter he ever seen and the best he seen along side Ray Robinson. He was mentally very tough. He wouldn't be losing to no Salido's that's for sure.

Lomachenko is a phenomenal talent but it's early days yet.

Too early in Loma's career to be making stupid statements like this.

Lomachenko has more title wins under his belt than most fighters have in their entire career.

This. Loma has a long way to go. Leonard was a long time champion and beat all types of fighters. I still haven't seen Loma against a good pressure fighter since he lost to Salido. Salido found a way to take Loma off his game and win, which is something Leonard did regularly against top fighters.

Forget the shiny shiny. This is the era of multiple titles. You have garbage bin men that could win a world tiltle in this era. So, how many fighters has Loma beat that are hof worthy never mind great ? Salido is a guy that Benny would slap around for a laugh in a warm up fight. In fact every single Lomachenko opponent would be warm up material in Benny's era.

Leonard was amazing and is proven against a higher level of opposition so far.

That being said it's realistic that Loma can surpass him.

If Loma retired now, I'd favour Leonard.

I was comparing Loma to fighters of the current era. My post still stands true.

Loma would toss him like a salad.
