    What was your take on mildenberger v Cooper? How did the 1960s talent compare live with the 1980s and 1990s?

    A lot of money was invested in Bruno but there was confidence issues due to the disproportionate national exposure of him. The cartel were wary of making a mistake so they would import American over domestic opponent's. For a domestic fighter Frank fought few British fighters. I accept that many of them did not travel very well but against all of Brunos international rivals Frank often did a more impressive job on the same men they were also groomed against.

    Frank was too good for "b- list" and the only "a -list" guys who would fight him were the ready to retire types. Maybe his people were too cautious. Maybe he did get those who were ready to retire. I do know contenders wanted "title fight money" to come to London to fight Frank. A lot of fights fell through. They could not get Greg page for love nor money. A fight with Mercer fell through in Hong Kong too.
