Have to go with B-Hop here. I like Golovkin but he generally doesn't have the speed and output to trouble Hopkins at his best in my opinion. I see Hopkins working him on the inside and smovering GGGs power in close. Golovkin might have some moments but I just think with the way their styles mesh that its made for a Hopkins UD.
Over 70% of the voters so far have picked Hopkins by UD or KO so I really don't see what you're talking about.
I'm talking about the fact that it may be slightly premature to compare GGG to Hopkins, and Hagler (as I have seen in other threads) seeing as though he has not beaten anyone decent yet
I get that but clearly the people voting are rejecting the comparison anyway. Not like its 70% voting for GGG atm.
I have an announcment to make whenever someone wants to address mr.pibb do not call him by his name address him as "mr.pr's *****" because thats my ***** now :deal :deal i run his ****. Im his daddy . That little PUSS.Y is my daughter
Hopkins was a great fighter in his prime as a middleweight. He had every punch in the book combined with speed, power and crazy stamina. GGGs clubbing shots wouldn't get near Hop and he'd be assaulted badly when he missed. GGG is skilled boxer and puncher , no doubt about that , but Nard was on a different level back then.
GG went to war with shot to hell featherfisted Jr MW Ouma. Slow motion Pinata Alfredo Angulo VAPORIZED Gabe Rosado in 2 rounds and didn't get touched. GG needed 7 rounds and end-swell to get it done.
we don't know the extent of triple G's greatness yet. he is crushing everyone he faces and the rest are running scared.
I agree. It's possible he could show us all that he could take prime Hopkins. It's just impossible, at this point, to conclusively say GGG is better than prime Hopkins. I said Hopkins because all the data isn't in on GGG, yet. Now if GGG dominates some elite fighters between now and next year, my bet might very well head to the other side of the coin. Particularly, I'd like to see GGG deal with some inside fighting and grappling, in the vein of Ward/Hopkins. Basically, a messy fight. That's an area where GGG might be vulnerable, I'm not sure, but it's the same reason that I'd take Ward over GGG today. It's also worth noting that a grab-heavy, messy-fight style beat him in the Olympic Gold medal bout and got him silver, instead of gold.
