A man of Bowe's size and posture would not be able to stop George from getting close and setting the house alight. Bowe did not box with the sharp-shooting qualities needed to simmer Foreman down when he is at his most vibrant. Bowe could hurt Foreman, and he stands a good chance of getting inside his looping punches to make use of the uppercut, but the strength of George would shake off these interludes and continue with the storm in the form on wicked body shots and neck snapping ‘hookercuts’. Bowe is a big target of mediocre mobility; Foreman is the likely winner in the early to middle rounds.
George Foreman has a better chin, has more power, has a better jab, was better at cutting off the ring, could take more punishment. Bowe beat Holyfield but who else did he beat? Nobody. A prime Foreman could beat Holyfield too. Foreman knocks out Bowe
I don't need a long explanation for this one. Riddick Bowe gets tagged by B level fighters more often than not, and you can't afford to be tagged by Foreman. Bowe would get knocked out.
Lacked heart..? have you seen the Bowe vs Holyfield fights..? Did you watch Bowe vs Golota II A weight drainned Bowe, went to hell and back..!
I reckon this maybe a bit of a brawl like the Lyle fight with Bowe being better technically and bigger than Lyle, interesting 1, not sure who'd win
Bowe had the tools to hurt and hit Foreman but the problem is Bowe is too easy to hit and George would strike...Bowe can take a bit of punishment but too much for the REF who stops the fight with Bowe standing and stunned around the 6-7th
Bowe absorbs too much punishment from Foreman who holds advantages in durability and power; two things that are key in this match-up. Foreman mid-rounds TKO/KO.
Foreman would struggle, but he'd prevail cuz of his heart and power....... Bowe was a better boxer, however, I see Bowe quitting against Foreman's pressure and power.... Foreman wins..... MR.BILL
Bowe would NEVER quit. The man was ALL heart. Bowe had more heart than Foreman in fact. In fact it was George HIMSELF who said Bowe was the bravest heavy since Ali. However still doesnt change the fact that Bowe would get KO'd... because he was too hittable, and he COULD be hurt... and George had freakish power. Not to mention Foreman was a great finisher.
Whats up Mt Vernon I can somewhat agree with you on your first opinion, but I might go with Young George if I had to make a choice. As for the old george no way he fights Bowe that close,I think it would be all bad for Old George hed get beat up and maybe even stopped between 10 and 12 rounds.Would be sad to see George take the beating Bowe would have gave him.Why do you think George never even mentioned fighting Bowe.
