Bruno has the power to hurt and stop Ortiz and Ortiz defence is very poor ( imagine Bruno landing the amount that Hammer did). I'd go with Bruno to win.

What is Ortiz's best win as a professional? It is against Byrant Jennings.

His reputation as some kind of dangerous bogeyman is all smoke and mirrors.

He was banged out twice by Wilder after gassing after 6 rounds. He isnt anything special.

Bruno would have swallowed him up and stopped him in the middle rounds.

Wilder is a better boxer than Tommy was and he`d never get past his reach without getting caught. Wilder would destroy Larry at the age he was when he beat Mercer, if Shavers could catch a prime Holmes and floor him the Wilder could eaily catch the older Holmes he`s much faster than Shavers was and has faster hands than anybody Larry ever fought other than Tyson. Every fighter that had good hand speed beat Larry when they faced him including Spinks.

Dave Allen has a more active guard than Bruno had so is harder to hit than Frank was, Bruno`s head was too stationary to avoid Ortiz`s punches, he threw some fast combo`s v Wilder that I never saw Bruno throw, plus Frank never fought a clever southpaw, the only 6'4+ fighters Frank fought were Smith and Lewis and he lost to both and Ortiz is 6'4.

Bruno never had the timing and hand speed that Wilder has, he never won a world title fight by a one punch KO, Ortiz was never in front of Wilder being stationary the way Frank used to be, he moves his head much more, Frank had no head movement at all.

Lewis was all over the place at that stage of his career, Stewart told McCall all he had to do was time Lewis`s wide sloppy right hand because it left him off-balance v Frank and that`s what McCall did, the first thing Steward did ws straighten out Leiws`s right hand and get him develop more consistent 1-2`s which were missing when he fought Frank.

This era is exciting Bruno`s era was crap, the only good heavyweight while Frank fought during the 80`s was Tyson, the 90`s were much better, but Bruno fought Lewis while he ws out of sorts, and Tyson when he didn`t have Rooney in his corner, Frank never fought Bowe or Holy.

Al Frank did was throw loads of jabs and some right hands, coming in on a straight line.

Ortiz isnt that difficult to hit either though is he. His foot movement is non existant in fact. His defence involves moving his body and changing angles which isnt as effective as effective use of the feet. Frank Bruno would have been able to step in and land some horrifically big shots on a stationary target like Ortiz. Just hit anything (body, arms, shoulders) would have put the fear of God into Ortiz.

You do know how powerful Bruno was? Mike Tyson says that Bruno was one of the hardest punchers he ever faced.

I think that Bruno's power would have swallowed Ortiz up and led to a mid rounds stoppage. Bruno was a WBC world champion and fought at a high level. Ortiz has never and will never win a world title. The only time Ortiz ever stepped up above challenger status he gassed out twice and was laid flat out twice.

Frank became a WBC world champion beating iron jawed McCall. So he couldnt have been all that basic or poor, to have achieved such a lofty status in HW boxing.

Ortiz's best win was beating challenger level Byrant Jennings. He has never and will never win a world title.

There was one point in the fight where Bruno landed a big right hand that visibly hurt McCall. If that lands on Ortiz it's like round 7 of his last fight all over again. Ortiz is slicker but the Bruno jab will cause him problems and Big Frank had serious power in the right hand.

I'd put Ortiz at least on par with Spoon and Smith. Ortiz late KO.

Lol Tim Witherspoon beat some decent fighters. He beat Greg Page, James Tillis, Renaldo Snipes, Tony Tubbs, ect. Hell even Tim Witherspoon beating Jorge Luis Gonzales is more impressive than anything Luis Ortiz beat.

    Bruno would destroy Ortiz.
