Agreed, probably be a close fight through 8 or 9 with Bruno slightly ahead when Ortiz hits him with an overhand left and wobbles him. Then Ortiz finishes him.

Ortiz eats stiff guys like Bruno.

And Ortiz in his prime would destroy him.

He beat ****ing McCall for that belt and lost before the bell rang for his first defense.

Bryant Jennings was better than Oliver McCall.

Ortiz is still pretty good at 40. A prime Kong would obviously be much better.

Bruno was always stiff and had minimal head movement. He had bad stamina too which would be made even worse by a good body puncher like Ortiz.
Anybody who says Bruno easily beats Ortiz is doing so just cos the don't like Wilder. Bruno was an average to decent HW who never beat a skilled and awkward southpaw like Ortiz.
I could see Ortiz taking him out late after wearing him down with a body attack.

You really think the 40 year old version of Ortiz that just fought Wilder would toy with a Prime Bruno?

This isn’t really a fair matchup for Ortiz since his reflexes and durability have both been declining for 5-6 years. Ortiz from 2012 to 2015 still had good timing and his legs were still good, but the version that recently fought Wilder had no legs. I could tell even in the prefight video that he was struggling even to move around the heavybag. I think Wilder carried him out of professional courtesy for a couple of rounds and let the old vet collect a payday.

Ortiz would take Frank`s power better than Bruno would take Luis`s, hit his arms?! Since when was Bruno a body puncher, everytime he stepped in he`d be countered, Ortiz is a far better counter puncher than Bruno was and he throws more counters, Bruno countered mainly with the jab, but Ortiz throws hurtful counters.

I honestly think that Spoon vs Ortiz would be a competitive fight, Bruno would gas and get ko'd vs Ortiz like he did Spoon. He did have a big right hand but it's not near as quick as Wilder's.

Bruno`s reflexes in his prime weren`t that good, he didn`t slip shots much and certainly didn`t slip as many shots as Ortiz does, he threw some fast combo`s against Wilder.

Ortiz is harder to hit than McCall was and that right hand Wilder threw was crisper than the right hand that caught McCall.

It would’ve been a day at the office for Ortiz. And Jennings from 5 years ago would’ve beaten McCall too.
