prime buster douglas vs prime liston, lyle and shavers

The only reason Buster Douglas is even being compared to these fighters is because of his win over an unconditioned ****-poor Tyson. Not saying he wasn't a good fighter of his era just saying he doesn't get through these guys in a million years aside from perhaps Shavers.

 

The thread title says prime Douglas and prime Douglas has everything a man needs to beat Liston, Shavers, and Lyle. He has it all in spades too. He had movement and none of these guys could cut off the ring well, especially not Liston, who followed his mobile opponents in circles, and he had a jab, another thing that doubles all of them.

You can have all the tools to beat certain fighters , doesn't necessarily mean you going to go out there and execute perfectly and always get the W .

It does not work that way .

If that's the case , Zab Judah would still be undefeated . He had it all himself .

The very best version of Douglas could not defeat the very best Version of Sonny Liston .

Douglas could beat Shavers , I can see that happening .

Like I said earlier , 7/10 Times Ron Lyle would batter Douglas .

 

Alright I see that Douglas had the tools, and I believe he will use them. I have watched lesser fighters last till the final bell, because he couldn't cut the ring off.

Douglas dancing around him and using his jab is enough to get the victory in my opinion.

 

Douglas never danced around jabbing. You must be mistaking him for another fighter.
