    Hear me out:

Butterbean was only a 4 round fighter. I get it

But look what a Butterbean wannabe-Never will be, Dustin Nichols did to Wilder in 1 round.

How do you guys see this going?

Would a late 90s Butterbean have a chance versus Wilder?
Or would Wilder just stay away from danger and tire out Bean.

This would be a knockout in less than a minute. Wilder's reach and power would add up to a cooked Butterbean.

This is one possibility. A Stiverne 2 type affair.

I am glad you have opened with the obvious parallel between Butterbean and Dustin Nichols.

    Oh cmon...

I'm more critical of Wilder than most, but even I can't pick Eric here.

Wilder's resume is absolutely horrible for the legit contender that many have him down as - but even if you take a more realistic view, heck even an exaggerated "hate" view, this still has levels written all over it...
Even if you say Wilder was only ever a gatekeeper with a punchers chance (and even I wouldn't go quite that far) he'd still have too much for Buttterbean - yes, he was fun but he was a sideshow act. It's not entirely unfair to say Wilder was the sideshow act champion, with his long reign of knocking out primarily journeymen, but the two aren't really comparable.

Wilder showed poise in his prime and had explosive speed. Would be surprised if Butterbean could get inside but he'd have great success if he got inside.

    Wilder 75/25 here.

Prime Wilder starches him quick, and I'm fully aware of Wilder's technical limitations.

Why are we being silly here?

Wilder would stop Butterbean at whatever point he started really throwing punches with bad intent..................could be 30 seconds, could be 3 rounds. But whenever he begins...................the fight is over.

    Pl

Good point. If Dustin Nichols could dent that fragile mandible, Bean might just shatter it.

As much as we hate Wilder, we have to be honest and say he is 6'6 and over 200lbs lean and Bean is 5'10 and simply loaded with fat to get to HW. Wilder has more power and is faster and has more endurance.
    Wilder would likely KO him.
But it's not out of the question that Bean gets inside and lands some bomb and turns the fight. But Wilder would probably have to be overconfident or inexperienced to get in that situation.
