joe only had handspeed because he knew he had to make up for lack of accuracy, he had nothing to lose by throwing light. On the other hand he also had the endless amazing stamina that allowed him to keep it up.

in contrast, roy threw faster but with accuracy AND with power.

The difference couldnt be more pronounced.
