Funny, I thought ... Never mind what I thought. If you are from The UK you should know. I stand corrected then. Guess it makes it clear why Hopkins did not bother. Calzaghe is an oddity, in both style and resume.
I agree it's priceless. But as a persistent Calzaghe fan I cant help to point out that Hopkins looked pretty clueless in there. Guess it's hard to get anything going in that rain of slaps.
Those are clearly slaps, but look at calzaghes early fights at his real weight (SMW) before he broke his hands 100 times they were sharp and throw properly that's how he dropped Eubank. Like I said, you wanna talk about slapping look up SRL who is supposed to be one of the greats and he is guilty of slapping in almost all of his big fights.
LMAO.....Calzaghe throws a bunch of arm punches, shoe shines, which gives off an illlusion of speed....Jones landed leaping left hooks, threw three or four left hooks in a row or straight rights, threw the fastest counters and knocked a guy out with his hands behind his back for Gods sake....No debate Jones was faster and landed with more authority
I pointed that out before, we all know he was Tommy Hears type of power puncher before he broke his hands :roflatsch
Calzaghe never used steroids, which enhance speed and power. Calzaghe had a phenomenal ring IQ, a great chin and didn't panic when faced with adversity. Against Kessler, against Hopkins, against Jones he recovered when up against it and found a way to win. Are these things you can say about Roy? Absolutely not.
