I remember the first time I saw Maussa was against very hyped Jefrey Resto. He took some bombs but He continued putting pressure and mauled Resto to upset him. That was the best Maussa I saw. The He got match up against a 140 lbs young monster in Cotto (pre Weight drained) and Cotto toyed with Maussa until the corner stopped the fight. Maussa destroyed Vivian (big mouth) Harris career.
Maussa was tough and thats about it the guy was one of the less skilled title holders in the history of the sport, technically he makes Ricardo Mayorga look like Sugar ray Leonard by comparison. Mathysse is by far the most polished fighter of the two and also the harder hitter he would have a little trouble early on with Maussa's all over the place extremely awkward style but once he gets the measure of it its all over for Maussa who ends up taking a beating till the ref decides to stop the fight midway through the fight with an helpless Maussa on the ropes taking severe punishment without answering back.
Doesn't matter if Maussa could take Lucas's shots or not, Lucas will beat him up, outfight him and it would be a one sided decision should Carlos make the final bell.
