Where did I compare Haye's punching power?

LOL. I think I recall seeing an old cartoon drawing depicting Primo stepping on Loughran’s toe in an old boxing mag. Not to dispute it at all but I can’t say that I necessarily recall reading of an actual injury incurred- but that might’ve been the crux of the cartoon rather than just a humorous take on the size difference.

You responded to an answer of mine to another poster where we were commenting on power. Therefore I assumed you were joining that discussion. Not starting a new one.

Carnera had a decent jab, could move a bit and learned how to use his strength .. of course he was limited. He got hit and big punchers managed to tee off on him like Baer and Louis and others later on however he held his own against the guys that didn't have the huge power .. whatever his origin he became a decent fighter .. who knows how a Baer rematch goes if the Baer that fought Braddock showed up .. however he was not beating Louis and when Joe did a number on him it all fell apart ..

Practically all the top crusierweights today, Usyk, Briedis, Okolie and plenty of others would beat him down

Haye had devastating power, Carnera`s punches swere clumsy and had no power at all by comparison.

His only stoppage win over a noteworthy heavyweight who wasn’t washed up was a 15-3 David Haye. Carnera stopped dozens of men who were over 200 lbs. some of them bums. Some of them good fighters. But at least his power was more consistently proven at those weight perimeters. Haye could punch no doubt. But I just don’t see how you can make such a bold statement about a guy with such little exposure in that division.

I’m fine with the claim that “ Haye had devastating power.” I disagree with the other half of that statement. If you fast forward this clip to about the last minute he KO’s Sharkey with an uppercut. His uppercuts were lethal.
