I think Dawson has the ability to box Beterbiev socks off and if he can manage to avoid the big shot he could win. But that's easier said than done and Dawson isn't durable enough to beat Beterbiev. If they fought 10 times I'd see dawson winning 4 out of the 10. But with a 1 fight scenario I'd pick Beterbiev.
dawson was talented and awkward but he couldnt keep artur off him all night, hes too passive most of the time, and he only showed true confidence against old popkins!
I'm biased as a Chad fan, I readily admit he was perhaps one of the most difficult fighters to be a zealous fan over, you really didn't know what you were gonna get from him.
I always liked Chad both as a fighter and personality wise and admired his skills but nobody brings the pressure and relentlessness like Beterbiev, let alone whilst also possessing that kind of brutal power, and in case you haven't noticed he has a hell of an engine on him and he can maintain that pressure from round 1 to 12, and he's a lot more skilful that many credit him with being and the pressure he brings is educated. Chad was wilting and coming apart under Eric Harding's pressure in the championship rounds and Harding couldn't punch his way through carboard walls, whereas Beterbiev can punch through concrete ones. But I don't see it going that far because Beterbiev will catch up to him sooner rather than later and his anvil fists are always going to come out on top in a battle versus Chad's chin.
Dawson can definitely stop him but if he gets touched big, sayonara. He wouldn't be recovering his sense as easily as Beterbiev would.
Sure, he would be a problem in the first half of the fight but him getting KO'd late would be quite likely.
What are this threads about Beterbiev against MW fighters?? Why doesn't Beterbiev grow a pair and go up in weight to challenge himself.
He's a LtHW who holds a belt in the same division as the ONE GUY you watch in boxing moron. Your boyfriends were saying he beat the best LtHW in Kov at first... now you backpedal like a little scared twat..
Say whatever tough guy **** you want as if you already know the answer, but a hell-bent, rabidly trained, lazer focused with no family/friend/ New Haven drama and not afraid of this dude - which Dawson was always capable of, I thimk he decisions AB at least 8-4 but maybe up to 10-2 0r 11-1 and it woud not surorise me in the least if he took big bad Artur and badly rockedhim to his core making him look like a vulnerable patty cake. Too bad Dawson did not have any finishing skills. Of every fighter I ever fought, sparred, contracted for, trained with, or settled somethign with an all out triggers pinned magazine emptying gun fight unsanctione obviously and after hours in a gym, Chad Dawson absolutely nuked me worse, harder, and more pinpoint perfcectly at the endof his punch - nothing smothered. Wannabes that go on forums and say stuff like he's featherfisted, please *******, you have no idea what youare talking about so stop trying to sound tough. Punching is 50% physical and 50% mental, desire/determination, mindset and fearlessness of return fire. On the physical half of things, when he wanted to be, he was a 50% then some. Balance, fast and fluid weight transfer, timing and accuracy, counterpunching and trap setting - then the real special stuff, UNBELIEVABLY long arms, BLAZING hand with maybe 1 other fighter at time he fought that was near his handspeed level, unfortunately thought training was a joke so had to conserve it so was not showcased nearly enough. ****ing det cord explosive, C4, whatever you wanna use, he was the most sudden and coordinated athlete i ever saw at that size and his tourque curve was unparralelled, when he wanted to go from idle rev range to flat out ethnol powered champion quartermile car, he could with ease. But it's his lower half that is truelly and criminally underrated. Chad had LONG legs, so was always going to bein very vulnerable position in fights if he wanted to make things a gun fight because he was not good at all at maintaining or even getting a feel for the range he was comfortable at fighting, he could be in big trouble. Otherwise he had blistering footspeed when put to use, excellent footwork for the most part and fundamentals all together. But you know the sure-fire pros when you see them. All in legs, feet, and hips. They can make blazing yet subtly movement with their feet and lower body, their feet look like a dancers as they deftly make minute but major movements witht their feet always staying light on feet to build from there. Like a duck, from above the water it looks like they aren't doing ****, but when you see underneath, you realize - it's everything to them. He was a crazy elastic and reflexive athelete, unreal fluidity escecially in his lower base, and a perfect base, his weight was always perfectly centered between his hips with his feeet and legs sticking out much further. He was a bich of a prima donna and a total ******* i would be happy never hearing of again, but when Chad Dawson was pissed at the world, aggravated and hell-bent on ****ing you up or at least going to a huge war with you, I'd believe he was noticeably the biggest banger from 175-200, sometimes higher. When he hit me I thought I just overdosed on a massive shot of cocaine, I was paralyzed, forgot how to talk, and waned to be at front door peephole holding a steak knife waiting for the cops. I have alwyashad a lot of pride whether deserved or not, usually the case. But tat shot caughtme so brutally, explisivelly, cleanly, everything and it's payload was so monstrous, I knew to my core I was dying that day but it was now time for war mother****er and I'm actively trying to take your life pal so remember it. It went all three, should been waived off after one, I ended up hitting with with some of the biggest shots i ever hit anyone with, because he allowed himslf to be open how he aggressiely fought. I lost to him a few times in the amateurs when we were little, and one time he beat my ass so badly by outpointing me it was almost stopped on points. The other three, I gave a hell ofan account of myselfall times and believed i deserved a win or 2, but no, he was the name fighter who would be fighting in the junior olympics, and winning i think. But that was another problem of his, out of 5 fights he fought to his talent and ability 1ncw, I CAN'T STAND THE CAWKSUKKER PERSONALLY AND HE'S FROM NEW ENGLAND WHICH usually means I am a diehard fan even if he is a prima donna dikhead with a pathetic family, loser fiends that dont even like him friemds prima donna cum dume
Cool story, now go make a thread of Beterbiev vs Loma or some other fighter's in smaller divsions dumbass.
