    I’d favor Liston but it’s hardly a forgone conclusion. Charles fought/ beat/ survived plenty of big punchers at heavyweight

    The thread is about a heavyweight fight tho. As i said, (Charles at heavyweight) is no Ali/Clay.

    No problems with him being a top 10 ATG or even top 5 and many have Ali in there too. Not a lot between them but it's certainly fair to have Charles ahead.

    At heavyweight they are a long way apart of course.

    Charles had that sneaky overhand right that gave Sonny trouble. I give him a solid chance. With favorable odds I'd even bet money on him.

    Charles is no doubt an absolutely brilliant boxer but Sonny catches him at some point and stops him. He just wont be able to keep him off him.
