Haye always has a punchers chance against any CW, a dangerous fight for anybody, Holyfield included. Can't really question his success at CW he fought and beat anyone worth beating, getting KO' d by Thompson was a low point but couldn't really do much more in the division.
Usyk IMO has some work to do but the talent is absolutely there. Haye at Cruiser was actually amazing (but his resume in retrospect has been very overrated).
absolutely not amazing lol, how was he amazing. mormeck would be ruined by alot fighters in the 200lb division right now.
What was amazing? He got floored by Mormeck, but won a tough and exciting fight against a 5"10 CW. Haye struggled with 5"11 Fragomeni. Haye was rocked by Mock who wasn't even a CW. Haye lost to 42 year old Thompson. Then Haye knocked out glass-jawed Macca. What exactly was amazing? If anything it was quite mediocre for someone who managed to win multiple belts at CW!
Haye puts Cunningham in a coma. Would argue he had a better and more successful boxing career than Adamek or Wlodarczyk.
A few years ago, I recall some posters saying he's a top 3 ATG at CW. Anyone who looks at his CW record would have to say, "WTF?!?!"
I even remember some crazy Brit trying to convince people that Haye's CW career was just as impressive as Holyfield's. All I can think is It's because people haven't been familiar with the division.
Pretty sure I say that post a while back I like Haye a lot. But man..rose colored glasses and blinders can make some go nuts!
Talking about that guy that nearly got smashed by Mormeck, amd Ktfo'd by Big Cat? Lol Usyk, Lebedev,Huck and Breidis school him.
