If we bring a prime David 'Tuaminator' Tua into 2019 using a time machine, who can he terminate? Assumptions: Sarah Connor doesn't exist.
He would have a very good chance against anyone who's chin he can reach. Once he connects it's Hasta la vista, baby!
He could definitely make waves and probably pick up the WBA regular belt off of Charr or any of the other top WBA fighters. Joshua would beat him similar to how Joshua beat Parker by boxing and moving. Wilder as hard as he hits probably can't KO the iron chinned Tua and so would either get KO'ed himself or win a decision, as bad as Wilder's boxing skills are he can out box the much smaller Tua who was out boxed by guys like David Izon and Jeff Wooden before his power bailed him out. Ortiz get's KO'ed, too immobile to get out of the way, doesn't have a chin like Ibeabuchi to soak up all that power. Would be a good fight for as long as it lasts but in the end the power and durability of Tua sees him win a war of attrition. Tua late KO. Miller would duck him out right with good reason, if they fought Miller get's smashed early in brutal fashion, his style is all wrong, going right at Tua and pressuring him will see him KO'ed quickly. Whyte probably gets KO'ed, if Chisora can put the hurt on him like he did twice, imagine the power of Tua landing on Whyte. Usyk I can see out boxing Tua but if Tua lands it's over for the cruiserweight, but I see Usyk doing a Byrd and cruising to a UD. Parker gets backed up and his offense shut down, he'd be in the fight and with his movement and decent chin takes the fight late, but can't see him mounting enough offence to win enough rounds. Loses a decision or gets stopped late. Fury takes Tua to school, question is does Tua even win a round.
That's a great assessment mate. I agree. If only Parker hit as hard as Joshua, then that would make an awesome fight with Tua. Two NZ warriors, iron chins... battle to be crowned the NZ #1. Except Parker is too nice LOL. Tua is nice after he knocks you out.
Fury has the best chance of cruising to a decision. I find it hard to imagine AJ not getting clipped throughout the 12 rounds, and when he does its night night. Wilder only wins if he's been doing his satanic worship with Al Haymon to bring out the bronze bomber, otherwise he gets put to sleep.
Prime Tua vs current 2019 Povetkin I favour Tua for sure, Povetkin now is too far past his best and would fade and get stopped. But prime for prime that's a tough one, I think Povetkin is definitely the more skilled and overall better fighter but walking onto Tua's power is always going to be very dangerous. Maybe Povetkin can do an Ibeabuchi and hang with Tua to win a decision or he gets stopped late. Whatever the result it would be one hell of a fight.
