The reason past prime Oscar did so well was because of the size difference

Competetive fight, I think DLH edges him.

Basically. I think Floyd wins a competitive decision.

This. Nothing will change the fact that floyd will always be better than dlh that's it.

Oscar.....he gave him enough trouble as an older man. Give me a break!

Your opinion. That's all it is. ODLH actually fought all there was, which is why he is recognised as a great fighter.

True, but Mayweather would have always been the smaller man. Oscar was big even at lightweight.

This is a tough call. They where prime at different weights IMHO.

At 135, I go with PBF - too technically savvy and offensive minded. UD (7-5).

Anything higher and I go with prime ODLH (circa Ike Quartay). (7-5)

Floyd won 3 times the amount of rounds that Oscar did in their fight. GO figure

This fight's a toss up, but truth is DLH had everything stylistically that could give Mayweather fits. Reverse is true as well, but the firepower and speed coming Floyd's way is nothing he's used to judging by his comp, not to mention the height advantage.

Oscar. The logic applies if an old inactive de la Hoya coming out of his 15th retirement can tag Floyd. By the time the fight happened, it had been like 7 years since people were saying Oscar's heart just wasn't in boxing.

Floyd has fought nothing close to a prime De La Hoya, that is a fact.
