It's not about 'luv' though is it? Cotto is my joint favourite active fighter, but it doesn't take a genuis to work out that prime DLH at 147 was an absolute beast, H2H one of the best welterweights in history. Cotto is a very good welter, and it wouldn't be an easy fight, but De La Hoya was a great fighter at that weight. DLH and Tito would smash Cotto. Quartey-Cotto would be a pick 'em fight.
DLH would pick him off with Jabs and Hooks all night long and score a wide UD or possible late TKO.. Cotto would give it a good go though..
Taking into account quality of opposition & in their own prime, pick between Trinidad, Mosely II or Vargas. There are other ones like vs Gatti were he just outclasses him but Gatti wasnt a true elite fighter so if you want to judge him vs other elites at both their bests Id go for one of those 3. :good
I was gonna make a post saying `usually there is always one moron but glad to see everyone`s head is screwed on today` Guess thats out the window now eh ?
