My point is that Mayweather knows how to neutralize Oscars best weapon which is his jab. He proved that when the fought. Killed his game plan and frustrated the hell out of him. Oscar didn't know what to do. Lol.

 

Oscar got rid of the Professor Rivero because he was not the best. Even Oscar admits Floyd Mayweather Sr was by far the best trainer he had. The best chance he had against Floyd was to let Big Floyd train him but he messed that up as well because he did not want to pay the money. I know both Uncle Roger and Floyd were looking forward to go against Oscar trained by Big Floyd.

 

Alright, I said De La Hoya was best under Rivero, not Rivero was his best trainer. I said he had the best team around him at that point, since he was comfortable with Alcazar, and Rivero incorporated a more active style defence.

The fact he wasn't happy paying Mayweather Sr. shows he wasn't truly comfortable with him.

 

Oscar was like 33 when he fought pbf he came off a impressive ko win over mayorga before he lost to pbf. If he was very old he would not have done that. He would have struggled. Oscar always had suspect stamina and was out hustled down the stretch in many fights including oscar-mosley 1 and against tito.

No he didn't look good against canelo he was slow of both hand and foot and missed alot. Sure he won but he didnt look great imo he did what he had to do to win. He's never looked great at 154 oscar or cotto or canelo prove that.

Sure he was prime but he wasnt at his prime weight 154 is not a good weight for pbf and it was his 1st fight at that weight which can't be overlooked.

Oscar is a good fighter but he's flawed he has no where the ring iq of pbf which is why pbf pulled away from him in the second half of the fight. He took his jab away outboxed oscar in the middle of the ring and made oscar miss. Pbf landed the cleaner harder shots all night long. Oscar always seemes to struggle when facing fighters on his level or higher. In fact oscar hired pbfs own father to teach him how to fight like pbf that speaks volumes.

 

He also knew how to get into oscar's head he always mentally ****ed oscar. To this day oscar is still bitter. He's not mentally tough enough to beat floyd.

 

It was a stupid move. The fact he left Alcazar and Rivero also shows he was not comfortable with them. Correct Pimp C Oscar was 33 years old and Floyd was 30 years old when they fought just 3 years younger. There was a year's inactivity between Mayorga and Mayweather, and then two years before that. Mayorga was old too lol. He'd had his clock cleaned by Tito and couldn't beat Cory years before. That brawling, chin-in-the-air style didn't age well at all.

Oscar's stamina was always suspect, but it was much worse in the 2000s, definitely by 2006, and that's why I said: "EVEN less stamina".

Aside from chatting ****, what's your point here? Floyd was good enough to beat multiple P4P talents at 154, and that was after his retirement. Floyd looked fine at 154 in the De La Hoya fight. The only issues he had were the ones Oscar have him.

And wouldn't do that against a quicker, (relatively) bigger, and better conditioned DLH who had a better corner to push him along.

I never said DLH was fighter of the 90's. I said he was 3 rounds from securing the fighter of the 90's. If he didn't run away the last 3 rounds vs Trinidad, the fighter of the 90's was already in the bag for DLH which is pretty much a fact. DLH was already a 3 division champ, p4p number 1 face of boxing from 97-99. Since DLH didn't get the decision in the Trinidad fight, they gave the award to Roy Jones. I'm not really sure how you can disagree with any of this.

I'm not really interested in your borderline homosexual reasoning on why you personally think Mayweather is a better and more successful human being than Oscar DLH. I've seen both the rise of Mayweather and both the rise and fall of DLH. Like I said before, stylistically I just don't see how Mayweather beats a younger DLH from 97-99. DLH from 07 had 1 fight in 3 years, was nearing retirement and had known drug issues.
