I think bert had a little more about him but with chisora having an extra 40 pounds of natural weight in a war you have to go for chisora to outlast him.

Del Boy actually has a better Arsenal then Cooper. I’d go with Chisora via ko

Chisora knocks him out. Cooper is a bit overrated.

Cooper stops him. Bert could bang and Chisora is easy to find.

Realistically speaking their resumes aren't too far apart from eachother though because Cooper lost to a lot more bums i would favor Chisora to stop him. Regardless Chisora is actually pretty overrated just like Bert Cooper. What has Chisora done ? Nothing. He has no good wins except arguably a robbery against Parker but Parker sucks let's be real. Cooper's win over Orlin Norris is arguably better. Their both gatekeepers and Cooper actually had more talent, though drugs ruined him.

Chisora ko’d Takam. I know neither guy has a stacked resume but Chisora made his mark as a gatekeeper while Cooper was pretty much a dangerous journeyman

Both at their best, I favour Chisora. Bigger, better defence, better chin, also think his overhand right would find it's mark vs Cooper's cross arm guard, Cooper was open for right hands as the Mercer and Bowe fights showed.

Plus Chisora never really lost to lower level guys, he could be inconsistent and he might very well show up unmotivated vs Cooper who he wouldn't see as a big threat but Chisora never lost to guys like Bigfoot Martin like Cooper.

I'm sure it would be exciting and Cooper would have some success like he often did but that success came at a price it also exposed him to getting hit back and I think Chisora comes out on top. He's just that little bit more savvy knowing how to ride out tough moments by slipping and rolling and conserving his energy for his attacks as we saw vs Takam while I think Cooper would blow his load early have his moments but then fade and Chisora takes over, breaks him down and stops him.

Takam was never that good. He lives off of giving prime Povetkin a tough fight. He could truly never break gatekeeper status. As a matter of fact he's just a high end journeyman in the grand scheme of things, just like Kevin Johnson was a while back. Cooper is no better of course and even worse tbh though at least Cooper has increadibly dangerous punching power. A lot of people list Chisora as a notable win for a fighter when he really isn't. Even i used to do this.

While I agree that Takam never proved he was anything beyond a gate keeper, albeit a good one, I wouldn't compare him with Johnson. Johnson so often just seemed to show up to lose at least Takam when losing gave it his all and had success while when Johnson stepped up he was just always dominated. I can't see Johnson giving Povetkin problems and of course he lost a wide decision to Chisora who Takam pushed to the limit.

I'm not even sure if Johnson was really a gate keeper, more a glorified journeymen. I see gate keepers as just that, they lost to the top guys the legit contenders but beat the pretenders they don't lose to Tor Hamer or Christian Hammer. The more I think about it Chisora and Takam are a level above Johnson.

Following me still looking for a an argument I see, lol.

You know what a gatekeeper is right? Gate keepers don't beat the top guys so asking for a "who he beat" when asking about a gatekeeper is a pointless exercise.

If he's just a journeymen how did he give Povetkin so much difficulty, give Parker a tough close fight, almost beat Chisora and give Joyce so many problems? Journeymen don't do that, they show up and get beat up, maybe take it the distance at best.

Takam did look good that night, but besides that he never did anything noteworthy

Well, I'm grateful for a response - I didn't get one re: Eddie Hearn (kind of expected).

You're obviously a boxing genius, so I'd love to hear your definition for both "gate keeper" and "journeyman".

I can learn a lot from you, Brighton bomber. I'm no boxing genius. I know sport, but I'm a casual boxing fan.

    Educate me, please.
