You said it was the best fight you´ve ever saw, you´re a novice that started watching boxing after you saw Fraud on MTV Cribs.
There's like 2 people out of all the replies in this thread that think this fight wasn't close. Why don't YOU go make a poll and prove otherwise.
R U nuts???!! DLH at 147 was lightning fast!! Hell, Mosley was faster than Floyd and in the DLH-Mosley I fight you can clearly see DLH just as quick untill he gassed out. The problem with you new boxing fans is that you make absurd claims about fighters you never saw ight in their prime.
Nah, I had it 9-3 or 8-4 if your nice. maybe you guys should go look up with Max said after the fight, you guys fit right into that
Please don't compare DLH with Judah at any weight. Oscar at 147 was not a lot slower than Judah in the Ike fight for example. He had the better jab, the better power and the better chin. And the better conditioning!
I did see DLH in his prime and he was fast. to say he was faster then Judah is a hella of a strecth but DLH wasnt slow at all. It would be a great fight but I still got mayweather because Quartey put hands on DLH and his clearly not a better boxer then Mayweather. plus back then Mayweather use to throw more punches, meaning DLH gets hit way more then the fight at 154. would be a great fight though
Was very close I agree. For me it was a close win for Oscar. But everyone has his own opinion. Fact is that Oscar was on his toes for 12 rounds. And the attack in the last round was a classic. But Ike had an incredible chin and survived.
styles makes fights and i think mayweathers style would have beaten de la hoya at any weight any time
I'd go with De La Hoya, if he had stuck to the gameplan Roach formulated he would have beat Mayweather. He stopped using the jab around round 6, whilst in a handy lead and tried to stop Mayweather. This and his loss of stamina allowed Mayweather back into the fight, and I believe he could have gotten the stoppage if he had tried for it.
