I clicked on this thread thinking it was Curry vs Pacquiao. Maybe it's because of all the Pac threads going around. I agree with fleaman, Curry was too sharp. I was ready to take him over Pac as well.
Prime Curry would out class Cotto, and beat the **** out of him. During his brief prime Curry was a great fighter, Cotto is only a good one.
Agree. Cotto has not advanced technically. He tried the same **** (ear muffs, laying on the ropes, backing up in a straight line) against Pac that he did against Margarito. Curry would beat him easily. Curry liked to infight when it wasn't necessary but he'd outclass Cotto on the inside too.
Cotto vs JONES, now thad a war. Cotto gets off the deck to win on points, both men wearing claret masks.
That is the first thing I thought as well. Curry at his peak would be too sharp for Cotto. I think Jones though would have a good chance of putting the sleeper on Cotto.
I think you guys are underrating Cotto by saying Honeyghan and Jones would whip him. I think Cotto would probably beat both those guys. However a prime in shape Curry is too sharp for Cotto, Cotto would have his moments put Curry would get him out of there in 8.
you are effected by a previously beaten cotto drained to a catchweight. i don't know who wins here but what did colin jones ever do to be considered the favorite over cotto ? and cotto would have won against honeyghan.
