12 rounds (and before anybody asks why it's 12 rounds, Floyd never fought 15 rounds so I'm automatically ruling that 15 rounder out) Who wins it?
If Curry is on point, I think he wins a late round stoppage, or a UD.But if he was like in the Honeyghan fight, forget it, Mayweather wins the UD.
Curry was tailor-made to beat most pure-boxers, the way I see it. Especially one like Floyd. He'd win by about 5 or 6 points on the cards.
I'd give Curry a chance of stopping Mayweather over 15, but since it's 12, I'll say Curry by decision. Mayweather's best weight was 130 IMO, he's not handling a guy equally gifted who's just a lot bigger.
Curry would get frustrated missing so muchand get caught enough by PBf to lose a close decision. Curry is one of my all time favs. Top ten.
If Curry was left to box, then there was big trouble. A likeable aspect about Ray Leonard was that he did not often call fights anything less than what was actually happening. When he sat ringside to view Curry a torrent of well read compliments streamed out. He was a V. good fighter, but he knew he was also watching one - "You see, that was so smart right there" blurted out as if Leonard thought he should of done that manoeuvre in his last fight. Mayweather is superior on different aspects of the game, but the game these two would play would go in favour of Curry's impeccable delivery, choice of punches and sapping power. Never has there been a conventional fighter who gave so little away before unravelling. Mayweather would be taught early to fight with less brash and forced to play to someone else's tune. Curry via decision.
