Prime Shane Mosley was a Lightweight. I haven't paid enough attention to the Curry era, though. Most if not all here will say Curry in a welterweight bout - they rate him very highly.
Shane hated the technicians and Curry was like Vernon Forrest only that he was better in every department.
I'd favor Curry to get it done. I have a very very high regard for Curry over a short patch of his career. Mosley is a superb fighter and would sure make it tough at times. Curry by competitive decision.
Mosley is tough enough to not get stopped. But, Curry wins by clear decision at 147. He would beat De La Hoya at that weight, as well.
I have a lot of respect for Curry. But Mosley was another beast and he carried his power late. I take Mosley by late stoppage.
Donald could win this by late stoppage, but the 83-85 version has a lot more than Mosley did at this weight to get the job done by wide UD.
Curry was actually winning against the great Mike McCallum at Jmw before getting Koed, but at WW he definitely beats Mosley, he was quick, fast, had good power to Ko most anyone, it all just came so easy to him that many thought he looked lazy in the ring and maybe took his talent for granted and possibly did not train as hard as he should have, but he takes out Shane for sure at WW.
All Curry. Lopsided decision. Mosley holds that head way up in the air and does not duck that chin. Curry is far to accurate to have a defensive flaw like that against. Mosley's chin see's him make it to the finish line but winning rounds is another story.
