who wins? and its a toss up between these 2 as to who was the greatest latino boxer ever
in my opinbion.I believe without a doubt that no boxer in history beats duran at lightweight 135lbs.

Duran would stop JCC. No way can JCC try and outfight Duran at any weight

Really ? dropped by Frankie Randall ?

Dont let Durans ko loss to one of the most destructive right hand punchers of all time fool you into thinking he was chinny .

    Duran owns Chavez @ 135

No at 135 he would beat anyone.

Even a Montreal Duran would have lost to Hearns or a focused SRL

thats what i said in my original post about 135 pounds no 1 in history touches duran at lightweight, ken buchanan gave him a good run for his money and its still argued over today if duran landed a very low blow to injure buchanan, interestingly buchanan still has to go for check ups for a ruptured testicle after that fight so it mustve been low.

It was definitely low, worse than what Mayweather did.

The thing is though, people often talk about how Buchanan was on the same level as Duran on fight night, the truth is, Duran was dominating that fight. It wasnt a beating or a shut out, but it was difficult scoring any rounds in Buchanans favour.

Duran was a monster at 135, he would even destroy Benny Leonard

I favor Duran of course, but one can never underestimate the will and skill of Chavez fighting his own fight against an opponent.

Was a slightly better body puncher, and was better at cutting off the ring as well. But Duran was the overall more complete fighter, and would decision Chavez in a brutal war. It wont be an easy fight like some people here are making it out to be.

Dropped by Randall at 140lbs when he was past it...TS said prime for prime, and Chavez was at his peak at 135lbs, and took shots by one of the hardest punching lightweights of all time and was unfazed.

Duran was dropped in his prime weight of 135lbs by Dejesus. Not saying it would make any diffrence in the fight, but i could see why someone would say Chavez had the better chin.
