Duran by UD, imo it's Floyd who's getting overrated by some poeple here. Who has he proven himself against at this weight and the higher weights?
All he has done at that weight is having 2 close fights against Castillo who's not even close to Duran's level.
Duran has proven himself against some of the very best fighters in history, I can't say the same thing for Floyd.

When has Duran suddenly become a face first brawler Ricky Hatton style? Do people even watch fights? Do people just assume he's got a **** defence because he puts on pressure? It's like people have preconceived ideas and don't even watch, they don't have a clue what they are talking about.

Duran had a fantastic defence, whether it was better than Mayweather's is neither here nor there because he was a much more aggressive fighter with a completely different style. If Floyd took more chances it would stand to reason he'd be hit more often too.

I'm still not buying that PBF has a better defense than Duran. I don't think he does, unless defensive is defined as making someone miss and not firing anything back. If we look at it from the point of view of someone punishing another fighter for missing Duran wins hands down.

Floyd can't deal with effective pressure from a Top Dog in his prime... Reason why he has been ducking the best for over 6 years.. ever since Castillo beat his ass.

I'm sorry, its still an atrocity to even compare them on that level. They are not similar, they are in completely different dimensions skill-wise. What exactly is the comparison...?

Floyd would have never been in the ring with Barkley because Floyd is a world class athlete that would never allow himself to become the blob that Duran did. You think Duran was fighting at super middleweight and light heavyweight because he wanted too? No, he fought there because he was a lazy, beer drinking fatass that Floyd Mayweather Jr. would of embarrassed.

The comparison is, jsut like Baldomir, Duran would be coming straight ahead all night swinging at thin air and getting hit with flush counter straight rights all night long. Just like Baldomir.

Sigh, you are not even worthy of discussion. It's pretty obvious you havn't watched Duran as you claim and havn't thought about the fight beyond a playground mentality. Duran and Baldomir indeed.

This comment isn't even worthy of a reply. You honestly have no idea what you're talking about.

I may have used the wrong description but I'm not trying to project that Duran is a face first brawler like Hatton. He uses his hands to block punches and he weaves a lot with head movements but he is succesful in continuing the pressure despite being tagged because he has pretty good beard.

That's what I wanted to picture out.

I'm sorry, but you really need to follow a different sport if you honestly believe this.

Why do you want to change your opinion now that some 80 year old Duran lovers question you? You were right the first time around, Duran was a face first brawler. He was a great face first brawler but, face first brawler nonetheless.
