Galento, huge weight advantage and I think he was more durable as well.

Shavers style would be perfect for his brawling style. Although we all know how weak earnies chin was. Ill still go with Shavers by a 1st round KO.

I think Galento would beat Shavers.
Shavers was knocked out by Ron Stander (a wannabe Galento) and knocked down and outpointed by the tank-like journeyman Bob Stallings, during his prime years.
Galento could be outworked and outboxed, but he was durable and tougher than Shavers. Styles suit Galento.

Gotta give this one to Shavers, if hes ready. Galento is the perfect foil for Shavers. Shorter, walks straight in, easy to hit. I would expect this to be an interesting fight until Shavers starts finding the range with the Right hand.

Galento may have the edge, he was short like Bob Stalling who gave a prime Earnie a pasting and dropped him...I do think Tony was better than Stallings by far and would give him the edge over Earnie
