Prime Eubank vs Ward?

I wouldn't go that far mate.

Eubank had slightly faster hands and feet and more textbook defensive technique, but Ward has a slightly better leaping lead right and is so effective at ducking and diving his way out of harms way when an opponent catches up with him. Ward is also more consistent than Eubank. It's close, but Eubank had more about him - more spectacular single shots, flashier flurrying, slipping jabs by moving his head just a fraction of an inch, etc.

They're similar - movers, of course, but Eubank prefers to 'step and jab' while Ward prefers to 'jab and step'.

 

Eubank never was the same fighter after Watson 2. What happened to Watson mentally scared chris sr, and in future fights when he had fighters hurt instead of finishing them off he took a step back.

Yeah if you watch Eubanks finishes pre-Watson, they consisted of short, compact, sharp shots with a ruthless look in his eyes, whereas the occasions he tried to finish a fighter post-Watson it consisted of long, loose, slow shots with a worried look in his eyes!

Against wild domestic hookers Michael J-ustin and Simon Collins and against world-class Hugo Corti, he lets off about 10 heavy six-inch shots in about three seconds before the ref saves them, knowing instantly when they were ready to be taken. Scarey.

At the end of the day Eubank was a good fighter. But you cant compare new and old fighters. Fighters nowadays have better things to use. Anyway Eubank is still a wanker he hides away from what he is. Anyway Chris is a good fighter even though hes hangs around mens toliets looking for dick.

 

Ward would own the hell out of Eubank. I'd be completely shocked if Eubank won any 15 second section of the fight.

120 - 108 to the fighter that actually has a modicum of talent.

 

I would take Eubank pre Watson 2 to knock ward out late rounds after being out boxed.
It would be a close fight no doubt, but ward couldn't hurt Eubank at all and Eubank had good power and would hurt ward. He would catch him at some point Eubank was a very precise puncher.

People who go on about Collins loss are blind, if you watch the fight he had Collins out on his feet in the tenth and just danced around the whole round because he didn't want to give him brain damage, he never had the killer instinct anymore he couldn't handle the repercussions of what had happened to Watson and who could blame him.

 

Look, Eubank was **** before the Watson fights and he was **** after. And that's EQUALLY ****. He did not regress after the fight in any way, shape or form. He was completely without guile and ability. He had little power, accuracy or balance. His so-called granite chin was overstated in a massive way.

A point i'd like to make is that it really does make me laugh the way people say Eubank was shot when he lost to Collins, well how is that so when the very fight before and less than 3 months previous he put in one of, if not possibly the best performance of his career against Henry Wharton, so how was Eubank shot?
