Holyfield is a heavy favorite here and should win. But I’m more interested in hearing if this would be an exciting fight. I think it might be

100% an exciting fight especially if we are talking 90-93 Holyfeld who likes to mix it up even when he shouldnt. He might even have to get off the deck.

    Holyfield KO8

Holyfield's a level above Lyle. He's shown he's not the sort of guy that gets caught by a lucky punch and goes out so Lyle's punchers chance isn't much of a chance at all. ATG vs good to a bit better.

HW Holyfield stops Lyle in a royal rumble. Cruiser Holyfield outboxes him to a UD.

I don’t think Lyle is much more or less than the version of Bert Cooper Evander fought.

I was never impressed by Lyle, I don’t see Holyfield having a problem in this one.

Holyfield stops him I believe, but it's a rumble while it lasts and Evander May get hurt here.

I like Lyle but every comment so far just about sums it up.

This ain't no walk in the park for Evander, if he gets wobbled that 's not Bert Cooper in front of him. This man dropped George Foreman something Holyfield couldn't do to an old Foreman with 18 consecutive punches.

Holyfields chin stood up to Foreman, Tyson, Mercer and Lewis and Bowe without being stopped. I don't think Lyle would be the one to get it done.

Holyfield gets rocked and roughed up a few times but he'd be in control for at least 70% of the fight landing more, dictating the pace, and winning the majority of the rounds. Holyfield could either win a clear decision 8 rounds to 4 or stops Lyle at some point late with a fierce barrage of shots. Lyle could be a very determined and dangerous guy, but he lacks the skill set and ring IQ to seize victory against an elite, well rounded guy like Holyfield. If it were, let's say the past prime Holy from the late 90's I'd give Lyle even odds. Prime Holy was quick, tough, smart, and could even be slick with decent foot work at times.

    Prime Holyfield 1992?

At some point Holy is going to don his Warrior garb and take some brutal shots, might even get knocked down. I'm guessing it would be the middle rounds, and from there Holy starts punishing his tired as with ridiculous combinations.

    Lyle folds before the 10th.

Holyfield's got this. Has to be considered a heavy favorite. Lyle would really only have a puncher's chance, and that isn't much of a chance at all against a guy with a top tier chin and who is off the chart in terms of heart. And this is if Holyfield fights Lyle on Lyle's terms (a brawl), which he probably would. If he stays disciplined? Would win close to every round before the stoppage or decision.

I even think cruiser Holyfield has got this, although with him, I think his win likely comes via decision.

I like Lyle, but I don't think he has what it takes here.

Holyfield could outbox, but you just know he’s gonna fight him, what a fight it’d be while it last, Holyfield outlasts him stamina wise and had more tricks up his sleeve on the inside, was better at using grappling to create room to set up punches, could slip and roll on the inside to set up punches.
He stops him late, but has to get off of the canvas to do so.
