A young, motivated , accurate puncher DLH coudn't deliver even a single significant shot to former p4p king Pernell Whitaker. Watch that fight mate and tell me how could the same person TKO Mayweather.

Just watched the second fight with Castillo, didn't see any struggles.

Tito would beat PBF at 147 or at 154 in his prime ... Do you guys honestly see PBF surviving the onslaught that David Reid barely survived albight with serious damage and Vargas succombed to ?

He did land significant shots on Whitaker, Whitaker could take them. Again, don't compare Whitaker with Mayweather.

A shot Whitaker had enough to beat DLH, showing how much better he was than DLH, a near-shot DLH showed more than enough evidence that he'd win over Floyd prime to prime at Welter.

No, you wouldn't. But if you'll watch unbiased, you'll find a 115-113 clear Floyd victory in a competitive match up, otherwise you could say Castillo's style and pressure was giving him trouble because if it wasn't, then Castillo wouldn't have been landing meaningful shots and winning rounds.

    Easy to comprehend?

Vargas at 154 would eat Floyd alive also. Hell, Vargas's competition is better than Floyd's as well and a lot of other fighters while we're at it.

    Vargas a near-elite, but a 154 large near-elite, Castillo was a small 135 near-elite.

I bet you Joy Boy fans will pick the 147 pot shotting version of Floyd over a prime Vargas, showing what they know.

pbf by ud. doesnt matter if tito is stronger coz most of floyds opponents were always stronger in the power department. its landing those shots which is gona be a problem for tito

This is stupid, because a prime Mayweather weighs 135-140 while Tito 147 -154. Tito by KO.

not sure on this one, but i do know that floyd will present problems and tito's weakness IMO has always been the lack of a plan B. he has a great jab and power but hes too straightforward

i just dont know if floyd can bring enough with his pot shots to get tito hurt at all. its a fight i feel would have to be won in the clinches and a stronger tito would benefit in that sense

i think the biggest factor here is foot speed. tito couldn't catch up with de la hoya's foot speed until dlh slowed and stopped throwing anything. mayweather doesn't fade like that. he'd move around and move in and out and potshot too quickly for tito too catch up with imo. it would probably be boring like tito-dlh was for the most part, but i see a ud for floyd.
btw floyd may not be a huge puncher at these weights, but he hit hard enough to get de la hoya's respect, and de la has a better chin than tito.

I find it difficult to comprehend how ODLH who fought Pernell, the very same guy who was throwing 10 punch combos in the air and desperatly did the best he could including switching stances, could manage at that time to win FM by knockout. Just doesn't get into my head.

I have 112 - 116 in FM vs JC II.

how would joy do against the mayorga that forrest (a guy i'd pick over floyd)first fought in '03? mayorga was eating forrest's shots to his face like peanuts, then smothered vernon with high volume powerpunching backed with decent timing. kind of like a much cruder version of pryor. mayorga was strong as a bull in that weight too.

floyd would be taking the fight down the strech, but i'd say in the first 5-6 rounds mayorga has a very good chance.

Floyd is much quicker on his feet than Forrest, and is better defensively. If Cory Spinks could frustrate Mayorga like that, then PBF should be able to as well.
But i agree he'd be in danger all the way.

Tito would be the bigger man, and Floyd does not have enough power to keep him honest. A prime Tito also had pretty quick hands, he'd find Floyd hurt him and stop him.
