Sweet Pea was a southpaw and awkward to hit for Trinidad. There is always issues with the footing, Floyd is orthodox and if he came in he would get tagged a bit more flush than was Tito was doing on Pea. Look at the sweet pea fight again, Tito was punching off balance the whole fight because that was quite an ugly fight. I swear to god that if Floyd opened up with Tito he'd get caught and he'd get hurt and he definitely would NOT escape if he did. Tito was an UNBELIEVABLE finisher and if Floyd gets wobble legged even for a bit then I say it would be a KO.

Are you willing to bet that Tito couldn't hurt Floyd over the course of 12 rounds? Prime Trinidad at 147lbs was a phenomenal puncher bigreg.

the BIGGEST difference between Trinidad at 160lbs and Trinidad at 147lbs, was that at 160 Trinidad telegraphed his punches badly and that was because he lost his speed and agility.

Look at him at 147lbs he didn't telegraph ANY of his punches, He was extremely quick he could fire a hook on a dime with 100% power, and to think that Floyd could fight 12 rounds throwing combinations ala DLH on a fighter that has him by about 3-4 inches is absurd. Floyd wasn't going to beat Tito landing 1 punch at a time, Tito put too much pressure and NEVER tired.

Of course he could hurt him. However, how many great defensive fighters get stopped in their prime? It's very rare. When you consider that Tito was heavily dependant on that left hook, you can see how it would be harder for him to stop a guy like Floyd. Floyd would definately set out to neautrilize that punch.

I think people need to realize that skill can overcome size. Look at James Toney. This guy is 5'9 and started out at MW. Yet he has fought much bigger guys, and big punchers from MW all the way up to HW. Despite this, he's never been stopped and has only been dropped twice. Floyd is certainly a more skilled fighter than Tito, Tito is the much bigger guy. Tito could certainly win this fight, and probably would be the favortite. However, I highly doubt that he could stop Floyd.

Trinidad wasn't a 1 armed bandit at 147lbs man. He had a sledge hammer straight right hand and he could fire back and forth washing machine hooks and straight rights very quickly. What we got here is an ATG offensive puncher in his prime with an ATG Defensive fighter. "IF" Floyd was cought on ***** street I'd bet lots of money that he couldn't escape the onslaught.

That's fine. But what are the chances of him getting Floyd on ***** street? Not very good in my opinion.

I know what you mean, I just personally think Floyd could get hurt in any exchange just because of the way Trinidad would punch when his opponents came to him. Tito didn't really have to stalk his opponents at 147lbs he was the bigger man, they came to him and he'd catch them on the way in with hooks. There is only 1 way Floyd could fight Tito and that would be throwing 1 punch at a time and moving and moving a lot.

See what Oscar did vs Tito was brilliant for as long as his stamina lasted, he came in with blazing combinations. Thing is Oscar is a big welterweight himself, and in his fight with Tito Oscar was the one who looked like the bigger man.

I really can't see how a smaller Floyd could come in like that throwing combinations. He'd be restricted to throwing 1 punch at a time, even with all the sweet subtle moves that Floyd brings to his game it would be very hard for him to win.

I said that Floyd wouldn't exchange with Tito ...

Floyd will pot shot ... Tito will get frustrated ... Floyd will duck, slip, and constantly move. He's always in good shape and never gets tired.

Unlike DLH, PBF will not fade and will win UD !!

How many times does this have to be posted? Tito can't deal with elite boxers. He would get a boxing lesson, PBF by UD.:deal

If find it hilarious that he had enough power to keep Oscar honest. If he did that with Oscar he'll do it with Tito since Oscar has a better chin than Tito does.:deal

Tito was a better 147 pounder than Mayweather.

If you can't compare Mayweather to natural welterweights than he should get out of the division. We are saying a welterweight fight because it is either that or 154 in which we can imagine both fighters fighting in reality. 147 is easier to imagine than 154.

But Floyd takes at least four to five rounds to warm up. Tito dispatches opponents at welterweight in this time frame easily. Will Mayweather's chin take the shots that even DLH couldn't take (why do you think DLH kept so much distance and fought so defensively when he always comes forward and stayed clear the hell away when he ran out of gas?)

No he doesn't. Mayweather is actually a pretty fast starter. Even when he doesn't come out blazing, he still wins the early rounds.
