Tito was too dependent on power, and every time an elite fighter took that away from him, he was soundly beaten. Canelo's a HUGE LMW who can handle power well both by defense, movement and chin, which is why you never saw a Kirkland, a Kermit, an Angulo, a Mosley and yes a GGG ever badly buckle him. He has great composure and so much mass you can't really just punch him out at 154.

The only question is how much intensity Tito could bring (at the same time he's being countered and buckled with hard hooks), cause that's what Canelo doesn't like, the air zipped out of his lungs. If GGG can rejuvenate and get back his usual work rate at the same level of skills, timing and power from R1 to R12 like he demonstrated before, I think he could stop Canelo, but I very much see this as an even fight at this time.

With Tito, the stamina was epic, but he could be hurt especially coming in, so I don't see any version where he punches himself out of this deep deep skill deficit hole. Canelo would set his authority early with speed and sharp counters, and that would break down Tito's offense to either an UD or a late stoppage.

If David Reid goes 12, so does Canelo.

David Reid got the living **** kicked out of him against Trinidad. It RUINED him as a fighter. He was never the same again and retired in his 20s. Using him as an example of someone who "survived" 12 rounds with prime Trinidad is not a particularly persuasive argument.

His chin always sucked but he was still beating Trinidad until the halfway point.

For the longest time I thought Canelo stood no chance and would be KTFO by Trinidad, and even now I would make Tito the favorite, but Canelo does have exceptional defense, and as long as he can avoid Tito's biggest punches I can see him possibly outboxing him.

60/40 fight in favor of Tito.

When looking at height, reach, and physique, Tito is a more physical specimen. That is my point. It's like Wilder and Joshua. Joshua is stronger and muscular but Wilder is by far the more physical freak.

Tito's illegal loaded wraps is what ruined Reid.
    Tito cheated.

I have never seen any evidence of that assertion.

I have no idea what "more physical specimen" is supposed to mean

Wilder and Trinidad are taller and longer than Canelo and AJ. Canelo and AJ are bigger.

GGG was way cautious in his fight. He hadn't really gone for the KO against any of his good opponents in lemieux, Jacobs and Canelo.
He is a destroyer vs buns and mediocre fighters but vs the elite he is a boxer puncher who relies on his jab.
Canelo lasting 12 is not indicative of how he would do vs Tito who was much more vicious vs guys like multi time MW titlist Joppy and Fernando Vargas.
GGG is NOT vicious vs the elite guys, he boxes agressive but doesn't really let it all out like Tito does once he corners someone.

Canelo doesn't have the workrate or the stamina because unlike GGG, when Canelo slows down Tito will let it all go, even if he risks getting hurt by a counter.

But tbh I don't even think Canelos power is a danger for Tito. Cotto took his shots fine and didn't go to sleep when he tried to attack a much bigger Canelo in round 1.
And now that GGG knows he can take Canelos power, we should see him give Canelo hell anytime he slows down instead of just poking him to death with the jab

As much as I like Tito I think Red would come up with a game plan for that left hook and he would win a decision. Great fight it would be
