Roberto Duran by UD (Similar to what De La Hoya did, Except MDP get's the DEC.) "Sugar" Ray Leonard by UD Thomas "Hitman" Hearns by K.O. "Marvelous" Marvin Hagler by K.O. 0-4
Tito had some thunder, but all with the exception of Tommy had iron chins. Leonard clearly outboxes him like Oscar did, Duran also outboxes him and keeps him in check with the right hand, Tommy knocks him out, he's too fast for Tito and Tommy had much better defense for Tito to catch him, and Hagler wears him down. Leonard and Duran on decisions Hearns and Hagler on TKO's I think Tito might have some 50-50 fights with 2nd tier greats like Cuevas, Curry, Norris, and Barkley.
Hearns is his best bet for a win.I cant see it though and only say it cos he could leave himself open to big punches sometimes which would be Tito`s only chance.Against the other 3 he loses too skilled, too hard or both.
Definitely & it would be 4 stoppages in 15 rd fights IMO, I think Hearns & Hagler would likely stop him in a 12 rd fight, SRL & Duran might do to but I wouldnt lay £$ on it.
he'll lose bigtime to hagler and probably lose via decision to leonard, but a good stylistic matchup with duran and hearns.
Oscar would also lose to all of them, but he would have a better chance with different fighters then Felix. The big problem for De La Hoya is he always had a spell in a big fight where he went missing for long periods and started to over think. The main reason in my opinion is because it took him longer then any great fighter i know to get his second wind. The guy couldn't hide his weaknessess when he became fatigued and struggled mentally to fight harder. This is a big flaw against the likes of Hearns and Leonard. Who would both stop him IMO. Tommy in particular would dominate him. He has a better chance with Benitez and Duran, But loses both in close fights. Hagler destroys him at middleweight.
He doesnt even have a punchers chance vs the WW Duran, Hearns did it vs a more past it Duran at 154 lbs but even if that were not the case, Tito doesnt hit like Hearns, not by a long shot IMO. Im not even convinced he hits hard enough to KO Tommy, who`s chin was not as bad as is made out, Leonard, Hagler & Barkely did it but he was only prime vs SRL & MMH, 2 men far superior to Tito.
Everyone already said what i think. He loses to all 4. (All 5 if you want to throw Benitez in the mix). I find it weird how everyone say Tito has a stylistic advantage over Hearns...I mean yea, Im fully aware of Tito's bombs and Hearns not so great chin, but GETTING to his chin will be a MAJOR difficulty for Tito....That long jab by Tommy will give Tito a shitload of problem till eventually BOOM! That right hand bomb of Hearns lands, and its lights out for Mr Trinidad.
I can't see Hagler respecting Tito so the Marvelous one massacres him. Leonard uses his speed & wits to outbox Tito while being up on the cards and stops him as he was a great finisher. Duran got hit flush by bigger punchers in Barkley & Hearns and only got ko'd by Hearns so the puncher's chance theory against Duran won't take him far imo. Duran bullies him to a decision and might stop him. Hearns was too tall & quick-footed to get caught by Tito and keep in mind that Barkley, Leonard & Hagler had to go through hell in order to stop the Motorcity Cobra and I doubt Tito has the endurance for that. Hearns puts on a clinic and ko's him in around rounds 6-8 and possibly shorter. I am one of the biggest Trinidad fans on here but he comes up short compared to them but no shame in that as they're some of the greatest fighters in boxing history. Duran being a high ATG in lightweight, Hearns @ 154, Hagler @ 160, and Leonard @ 147.
