    Calzaghe UD Ward.
    Equal chin, equal power, equal heart, experience and boxing IQ.
    But with better hand speed, adaptability and work rate.

    Ward is a next generation fighter compared to Calzaghe physically but as a fan i would give it to Calzaghe. He doesn't stop throwing (even if slapping the body often). Proven chin!!! Roy Jones Jr said in between rounds in disbelief "I'm hitting him very hard"! So attractive to watch is Calzaghe!!! Ward owes much of his stardom to just being an American (and beating the bad Russian guy) ;) In a tough fight i would pick Joe!

    Jones wasn't punching very hard anymore after stripping his body of 18 pounds of muscle post heavyweight. He clearly was not the same puncher.

    Still you have to give the chin to Calzaghe. He could be caught with good shots but recovered from them to win fights :)

    JC is one of my least favorite fighters ever but the guy knew how to find the winning gear and I think his volume punching wins him some rounds against Ward.

    Pretty sure winning the super six is where Ward gets most of his (rather average) stock. Which has nothing to do with his nationality or kovalev.
