Did you bother to notice in the McCall fight how frustrated Oliver was getting? He was trying to win the bout, but kept getting counterpunched and tagged. IMHO, he checked out to keep from getting stopped.

    Ali, Holmes, Lewis, Tyson, Vitali

Vlad also beats the crap out of most ATG Heavies, but would struggle against guys like Foreman.

That was Ken Norton at his peak, and Ali had already lost his legs and his ability to move for 15 rounds. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that the 70's version of Ali loses to a lot of fighters mentioned in this thread.

    Regarding Lennox Lewis.

    Underated whilst fighting.

    Becoming overated whilst retired.

Ali and Tyson. In their primes they were practically unstoppable.

    What an intriguing topic
I think Ali beats any heavyweight ever, but would have to work very hard against guys like Lewis or Tyson.
Foreman in his prime is another guy that would beat most boxers EXCEPT for maybe Holmes, Ali, and the "moving" boxers, the chess players.
Vitali and Wlad may beat most heavyweights besides Ali, Holmes, Foreman, Tyson, Lewis, and would have their hands full with Ken Norton or Ron Lyle.

how can you not pick ali here? i know all the euro's are saying lewis and a lot of people are saying '88 tyson, but come on. prime ali would have whooped lewis's ass and would have definitely outsmarted and completely discouraged '88 tyson. he would have KO'd both.

Depends on your point of view.

Run Foremans 2nd KD of Frasier side by side with Lewis's KD and they're almost identical, both up at 7-8 both looking very unsteady on their feet, Frasier was allowed to continue, Lewis was not.

I agree it should have been stopped by there's a good argument for why it could have continued.

Anyways, McCall and Rahman losses weren't 'prime' Lewis.

Oh, and Ali takes this one whoever he's fighting.
