Duran at his best at 147 (his best was clearly at 135 but I mean when he was at his best for 147, probably Leonard 1) against Trinidad, who hit harder?

And who hit harder in a P4P sense between Prime Trinidad at 147 and Duran at 135 lbs? I think the BETTER puncher is clearly Duran, just asking this to help me figure something out.

Please help, all opinions valid, this is just about punching POWER.

Trinidad for me, on both counts, though anyone saying Duran's power is not for real is not level headed for me. Only an accumulation banger to some degree, as everyone bar the 'freaks' are.

I think Duran hit SO hard at 135 though. I also feel his better technique and speed at the weight makes him a more dangerous puncher than Trinidad was in his pomp at Welter.

At 147 I'd lean towards Trinidad too. But Duran still had dynamite in his fists right up to MW! Unbelievable really!

I still think Duran was a more frightening prospect in the 135lb division then Tito was at 147 in a PUNCHING sense.

    But still, please, more opinions!

It's of course debatable in a sense, and that is the sense that you have outlined. But for me Trinidad is one of them guys that if you trade with him then you just don't f%&king learn, and that's because of the power, and then the accuracy that accompanies it.

    Tito in my opinion Flea.

Tito no question ... Duran is slightly overated as a puncher at any weight .. Tito had murderous power ...

What about his LW fights? He posseses some serious K.O's. AND he wobbled Ray at 147. And he brutally stopped Davey Moore at 154! And he dropped Barkley at Middle?!?!?!?!? Overrated??!?!??!?

Trinidad was the harder puncher. Duran usually stopped opponents down the stretch at championship level when his opponents had somewhat faded. A very good puncher at lightweight, but not a great one IMO. His power at the weight is overrated by many. Not a 'powder puff' puncher by any means. Just not "P4P" as good as fighters like Gomez, Hearns, Foster, Jackson, Tyson, etc.

I feel there is a difference between wearing someone down and being a KO artist. Duran wore people down but made sure they were properly sparked when he finished them off.

I think he was one of the top punchers at 135 lbs, not just because of power but because of his technique and relentlessness (spelling? Even a real word? lol)

Again, I'm open to all opinions, just need help on this as I'm trying to figure something else out :good

    Trinidad Definitely.

Roberto was more about accuracy and timing. He had some pop but Tito, he was a major hitter.
