Bowe has a shot to stop Tua. Riddick could hit and he put his powerpunches together in combination better than most heavyweights could. He had the skillset to make a punching bag out of David Tua and it might not matter what point Tua goes into survival mode he`s not going to be able to stay out of harm`s way with Bowe bearing down on him.

On the other hand even if Tua was to knock Bowe down Riddick showed the heart to not only climb off the canvas but also comeback and win.

Win or lose Tua would give Bowe a lot of brain damage.

Bowe had ATG ability, ATG temperament, but willingness to train hard in the gym of a couch surfer. And unfortunately for him what he needed most, "training Hard" just wasn't in him. Especially after the 1st Holyfield fight. Bowe for a big man could throw short, powerful punches on the inside, and was very fluid with his combinations. Tua had ATG power in his left hook, but the rest of his game,,,,, left a lot to be desired, he was physically short, and could get lackadaisical in the ring when the fight wasn't going his way.
Prime vs prime , I like Bowe to dominate this one . Bowe wouldn't be afraid to meet Tua in the trenches and could beat him their. Tua would have a "Punchers chance" . But Bowe being quicker, and slicker and his temperament to want to stop Tua, and not just win would be the difference. Tua would have moments, but at the end of the night, Tua maybe standing, but the ref would stop the contest for Bowe's Tko victory.

Big fan of Tua and feel like Bowe squandered his physical gifts but I've got to go with Bowe by decision here based on the stylistic factors.

Would be interesting to see how well Bowe takes Tua's left though. He was staggered by a lot of shots Golota threw at him, although the elevation and leverage need to be taken into account here, and Tua's left tended to work best against fighters that didn't have a massive height advantage over him. If Bowe fights dumb (possible) and gives up his height to bang with Tua on the inside then one of the explosive lefts could put him down. Generally, when Tua put you down, the fight was over. Very few people ever got off the canvas to win against him.

Taking them at their respective bests though, and not cherry picking versions to suit our choice, I'm going with Bowe more times than not.

Bowe would win without major problems, far better jab and technique, Tua would be forced to rely on his hard punch...

Bowe beats him easily in my opinion... keeps him at distance and swells him up if Tua takes the risk to get inside... but i think his motivation drains around the 8-10 round mark.. Bowe by TKO 11
